Channel 7 introduces Angus and Simon for My Kitchen Rules – Channel 7 has introduced South Australian mates Angus and Simon ahead of the new season of My Kitchen Rules.
The pair will bring their instant restaurant, Last Orders, to the competition when My Kitchen Rules returns soon to Channel 7 and 7plus.
For Channel 7, the new team adds another character-led hook to the long-running cooking format. My Kitchen Rules has always relied on food, pressure and personality, and Angus and Simon look set to deliver all three.
Meet Angus And Simon
Angus is a fifth-generation funeral director. He is also a natural entertainer with a dry sense of humour and plenty of stories.
Simon is his best mate and a more methodical cook. The pair met 11 years ago while working in a pub, and they have been mates ever since.
According to Channel 7, the South Australian duo bonded over good food, good times and plenty of laughs. Now they hope that same chemistry will help them in the kitchen.
Last Orders Opens For MKR
Their instant restaurant is called Last Orders, a nod to Angus’ work away from the kitchen. In the release, Angus jokes that the only thing they are burying is the competition.
The two friends describe themselves as chalk and cheese in the kitchen. However, they hope their different approaches will become the perfect recipe for success.
Recently engaged, Angus says he is determined to blitz his competitors in Australia’s favourite home cooking show. Simon, meanwhile, brings a recipe-focused approach to the team.
My Kitchen Rules Returns Soon
My Kitchen Rules is coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus. Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge return as judges for the new season.
