Primetime starring Robert Pattinson gets Australian cinema release date – A24 has announced that Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson, will be released in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on 29 October 2026.
The film brings a true-event media story to cinemas. It uses the world of 2000s television as the backdrop for a new drama from director Lance Oppenheim.
For Australian audiences, the release gives A24 another high-profile cinema title. It also pairs Robert Pattinson with a cast that reaches across film, television and music.
In addition, Pattinson serves as one of the film’s producers.
Primetime stars Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine.
The story is set in 2006. It follows To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen as he sets out to make television history.
Primetime is directed by Lance Oppenheim and written by Ajon Singh. The film is based on an article by Luke Dittrich and is inspired by true events.
Meanwhile, the producer group includes Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, William Iannaccone, Robert Pattinson, Brighton McCloskey, Lars Knudsen and Ari Aster.
The creative team also includes cinematographer David Bolen, production designer Alex Digerlando, editor Daniel Garber, costume designer Alex Bovaird and composer Ari Balouzian.
The film runs for 110 minutes and is yet to be classified.
