Ebenezer trailer unveils Johnny Depp as Scrooge ahead of Australian cinema release – Paramount Pictures Australia has released a new official trailer for Ebenezer, giving audiences another look at Johnny Depp in the title role before the film opens in Australian cinemas on 12 November 2026.
For Australian moviegoers, the date places this new take on Ebenezer Scrooge on the big screen ahead of the Christmas season. The character is familiar from Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, but the film’s publicity is keeping the specifics of its story close, describing it as “the name you know, the story you don’t”. The trailer is the clearest public preview of what director Ti West has made.
