Stick season 1 streams free on Samsung TV Plus in Australia before Apple TV season 2 – Australian viewers can watch the first season of Owen Wilson’s golf comedy-drama without an Apple TV subscription for a limited time. All season-one episodes are available on demand through Samsung TV Plus from 21 October to 11 November 2026.
The timing offers a way to catch up just before the second season begins on Apple TV on Wednesday 4 November. The free Samsung TV Plus window covers season one only; the announcement does not extend season-two access to Samsung’s service.
What Stick is about
Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer whose career was derailed two decades ago. After his marriage collapses and he finds himself working in an Indiana sporting-goods store, Pryce spots a possible second chance in Santi, a talented but troubled 17-year-old golfer played by Peter Dager.
Instead of a conventional sports comeback, the series follows Pryce and Santi as they form an unlikely family around the game. The season-one cast also includes Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant. Professional golfers Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa and Wyndham Clark make guest appearances.
How to watch Stick free in Australia
Samsung TV Plus is an advertising-supported, subscription-free service available on eligible active Samsung devices, including Samsung TVs, Smart Monitors and Family Hub. Australian access to Stick season one runs through Wednesday 11 November, according to Samsung’s announcement. Viewers should check their device’s Samsung TV Plus interface for the on-demand listing.
Season two will premiere globally on Apple TV on Wednesday 4 November, overlapping with the final week of the free first-season window. Australian viewers wanting to continue immediately after season one will therefore need Apple TV for the new episodes.
