Australian star Hugh Jackman headlines mystery-comedy film The Sheep Detectives, which streams from Wednesday, 24 June and remains one of Prime Video’s major attractions heading into July.
Based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full, the film follows a flock of sheep who attempt to solve the murder of their beloved shepherd after he is found dead. The film also stars Brett Goldstein and Patrick Stewart.
Murder 101 investigates decades-old mystery
Premiering Monday, 13 July, documentary series Murder 101 follows a Tennessee high school sociology class that attempts to solve the infamous Redhead Murders, a series of unsolved killings that have remained a mystery for decades.
What begins as a classroom assignment quickly evolves into a genuine investigation that uncovers new leads and brings renewed attention to forgotten victims.
Batman: Caped Crusader returns for season two
The Dark Knight returns on Friday, 31 July with the second season of Batman: Caped Crusader.
The animated series continues its noir-inspired take on the early years of Bruce Wayne’s crime-fighting career and comes from executive producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm.
The Devil’s Mouth delivers survival horror
Prime Video’s horror offering for July is The Devil’s Mouth, starring Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor and Gavin Casalegno.
The film follows five friends who embark on one final adventure exploring a cave system in Thailand, only to discover that a deadly creature is hunting them beneath the water.

The Ghost in the Shell arrives on Wednesday, 8 July, bringing the legendary cyberpunk franchise back to screens and continuing a legacy that has inspired audiences around the world since the original manga debuted in 1989.
Meanwhile, fantasy adventure series From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II premieres on Thursday, 9 July, reuniting the creative team behind the hit first season. The series follows veteran swordsman Beryl Gardenant as his quiet life is turned upside down by former students, new allies and dangerous enemies.
