Perfect Liars trailer: Prime Video’s Wattpad thriller arrives 20 November – Prime Video has released the official trailer for Perfect Liars, a Spanish Original film that will stream in Australia from 20 November 2026.
Directed by Jesús Colmenar, whose credits include Money Heist, the film adapts Alex Mírez’s Wattpad story. Prime Video says that story has accumulated more than 140 million reads. Its move to film puts an established online readership behind a new story of privilege, revenge and deception at an elite university.
For Australian subscribers, this is a streaming release rather than a cinema opening: Prime Video lists the film for 20 November across more than 240 countries and territories. The trailer gives viewers their first look at Tagus, the university where Jude Derry tries to uncover what happened to her brother.
What happens in Perfect Liars?
Jude arrives at Tagus with a hidden mission. She intends to infiltrate the circle of the powerful Cash brothers and learn the truth about her brother’s death. Aegan, the calculating eldest; Adrik, the elusive middle brother; and the rebellious youngest heir each occupy a place in the family’s carefully guarded world.
As Jude gets closer, her plan becomes tangled in attraction and the brothers’ relationships. Each new clue threatens not only the Cash family’s standing, but also Jude’s understanding of her own past. The premise turns the revenge mystery into a story about how difficult it is to recognise the truth inside a world built on appearances.
Cast and creative team
Irene Balmes stars as Jude Derry. Gleb Abrosimov plays Aegan Cash, Pau Simon plays Adrik Cash and Pablo Scapigliati plays Aleixandre Cash. The cast also includes Asier Etxeandia as Adrien Cash and Irene Ferreiro as Artie.
Colmenar and Ángela Armero wrote the screenplay. Federation Spain produced the film, with Juan Solá and Mark Albela credited as producers. WEBTOON Productions is also involved; David Madden, Mar Vila Barcelo and Wattpad president Aron Levitz are consulting producers. Those credits underline the film’s path from a digital reading hit to a Prime Video Original.
