Netflix programming highlights for the week of 28 September 2026 – Florence Pugh’s ambitious new drama East of Eden leads a busy week on Netflix Australia. Meanwhile, LEGO One Piece, the Dutch edition of Love Is Blind, new documentary and drama premieres, returning favourites and three live WWE programmes round out the schedule.
The schedule moves from family-friendly animation and reality television to prestige drama, true crime, comedy and classic cinema. In addition, several of the week’s biggest arrivals come with new trailers. They give viewers a closer look before the programmes begin streaming.

LEGO One Piece
LEGO One Piece brings the Straw Hat crew into brick-built form for a two-part special. In the story, Usopp recounts the crew’s journey across the East Blue and into the Grand Line. His tale revisits events from before Chopper joined the adventure.
The voice cast includes Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Charithra Chandran, Mikaela Hoover, Katey Sagal, Jeff Ward and Callum Kerr.
Wednesday, 30 September
Love Is Blind: Netherlands
The dating experiment heads to the Netherlands with Nicolette van Dam and Bas Smit as hosts. A new group of singles will seek a lasting connection, become engaged without seeing one another and then discover whether those emotional bonds can survive the outside world.
The Widower: ‘Til Death Do Us Part
Meanwhile, this true-crime documentary follows a journalist and a detective pursuing a predator. His outward charm concealed decades of disturbing allegations. Their investigation traces failed marriages and suspicious deaths stretching across 30 years.
White Chicks
Also arriving on Wednesday is the 2004 comedy White Chicks. Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans play FBI agents who disguise themselves as wealthy sisters while trying to stop a kidnapping plot.
The cast also includes Jaime King, Frankie Faison, Lochlyn Munro, John Heard, Busy Philipps, Terry Crews, Brittany Daniel and Eddie Velez.
Thursday, 1 October
East of Eden
Florence Pugh leads East of Eden, a generational drama set in the early 1900s. At the centre is a fiercely independent woman whose actions divide two brothers. Consequently, a family saga unfolds across two generations.
Moreover, Pugh stars with Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Hoon Lee, Tracy Letts, Ciaran Hinds, Martha Plimpton, Joseph Zada and Joe Anders. The series is the week’s major Netflix premiere and brings John Steinbeck’s world back to the screen for a new audience.
Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie
Elsewhere, Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol bring their chaotic comedy to feature length. Two bandmates attempt to bluff their way into a performance at Toronto’s Rivoli by rigging their recreational vehicle to stage a visit from the future. However, the plan works far too well and leaves them stranded in 2008.
Ben Petrie also stars in the time-travelling comedy.
The Silence of the Lambs
Meanwhile, Jonathan Demme’s acclaimed psychological thriller returns to streaming. Jodie Foster plays FBI trainee Clarice Starling, who seeks help from imprisoned psychiatrist and murderer Hannibal Lecter while hunting another serial killer.
Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn, Ted Levine, Anthony Heald, Brooke Smith, Diane Baker, Kasi Lemmons, Frankie Faison and Tracey Walter complete the principal cast.
Friday, 2 October
Doing Life
Finally, Doing Life follows a single mother and an incarcerated man. They form an unlikely relationship through heartfelt letters. As a result, their connection opens a path towards redemption, hope and love. At the same time, both confront the barriers surrounding their lives.
Naomi Baker and Jay Reeves lead a cast that also includes Tamberla Perry, Karen Obilom, Jasmine Sargent, Lucky Johnson, Danielle Moné Truitt, Cali Rae Benard, Marley Jade Benard and Cornell Young IV.
