Netflix reveals movies coming soon in 2026 slate – Netflix has previewed a major upcoming film slate, with new titles coming from Australia, the United States, Korea, Spain and beyond.

The local headline is Allen, a new Netflix feature film from Ludo Studio. It premieres this November.

The film was shot across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It stars T.J Power, Charlotte Nicdao, Josh Helman, Emily Barclay and Benedict Hardie.

For Australian viewers, Allen gives the Netflix slate a clear homegrown anchor. It also continues the streamer’s focus on Australian production, with Queensland locations sitting at the centre of the campaign.

Allen Leads The Australian Slate

Allen is described as a drama-comedy about Petey, who lost the best friend he ever had 20 years earlier. Now, Allen is back.

Daley Pearson directs the film, with Jeffrey Walker as co-director. Pearson and Sophie Miller are the writers, while Sam Moor and Ross Allsop produce.

The cast includes T.J Power, Charlotte Nicdao, Josh Helman, Emily Barclay and Benedict Hardie.

More Netflix Movies Coming Soon

The wider Netflix film slate also includes Ben Affleck’s thriller Animals and Peter Berg’s World War II-set The Mosquito Bowl.

Other titles include Lee Chang-dong’s Possible Love and the emotional drama In Waves. Netflix is also pointing viewers toward YA drama Best of the Best and Danny Boyle’s Ink.

The slate continues with Los Javis’ generational saga La Bola Negra, Ava DuVernay’s documentary 14th, Cameron Diaz comedy Bad Day and animated film Steps.

In addition, Netflix is flagging a highly anticipated new film from David Fincher. Brad Pitt returns as Cliff Booth, this time in a different 1977-era Hollywood story.

Netflix’s Film Push

The slate gives Netflix a broad mix of genres for the back half of the year. It moves from prestige drama and comedy to documentaries, animation and international releases.

As a result, Netflix is setting up a film run that can serve different audiences across the same period. The Australian element also gives local viewers a clear title to watch closely.
