Netflix highlights for week commencing 17 August – Netflix has outlined its programming highlights for the week commencing Monday, August 17, with drama, documentary, reality, film and live WWE programming on the way.
The week is led by Outer Banks: Season 5. The new line-up also includes Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing, Love Is Blind: UK season three and the period drama Hamnet.
For Australian Netflix viewers, the schedule offers a broad streaming week. There are returning favourites, new factual titles, library films and live WWE across several days.
Wednesday, August 19
Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing looks at whistleblower testimony and safety claims surrounding Boeing.
Love Is Blind: UK: Season 3 brings a new group of singles into the pods. Emma Willis and Matt Willis return as hosts.
Old Guy stars Christoph Waltz, Lucy Liu and Cooper Hoffman. The crime comedy follows a veteran hit man who mentors a younger assassin.
Thursday, August 20
Outer Banks: Season 5 follows the Pogues after a major loss. This time, they chase revenge, redemption and a stolen artifact.
Blood Sacrifice centres on a detective and her estranged father. Together, they investigate the murders of several police officers.
Friday, August 21
True South follows friends and rivals as they compete in a dangerous yacht race.
The Pink Panther also joins the service. The comedy stars Steve Martin, Kevin Kline, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer and Kristin Chenoweth.
Saturday, August 22
Hamnet stars Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal. The drama is set in 16th century England and follows a marriage tested by grief.
