Heated Rivalry season two adds new cast for HBO Max – Heated Rivalry season two has added Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka to its expanding cast.
The Crave Original series, from creator Jacob Tierney, is set to premiere on HBO Max in the Southern Hemisphere autumn of 2027.
For Australian viewers, the announcement confirms the romantic sports drama will continue as part of HBO Max’s local streaming pipeline, giving fans another update on the next chapter after the first season followed the intense connection between rival hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.
New Cast For Season Two
Emily Hampshire, known for Schitt’s Creek and Marvel’s upcoming VisionQuest, joins the series as Vanessa.
Edvin Ryding, whose credits include Young Royals and 28 Years Later, will play Luca Haas.
Robert Naylor, from Mile End Kicks and Cardinal, joins as Wyatt Hayes, while Sabrina Jalees, whose credits include I Used to Be Funny and Black Mirror, will play Farah Jalali.
Priyanka, known for Drag Brunch Saved My Life and Meet Me Next Christmas, joins the cast as Tarek.
Returning World Of Heated Rivalry
Previously announced season two cast members include Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.
Season one centred on rival hockey players Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie.
What began as a secret fling between two rookies developed into a years-long story of ambition, rivalry, love, denial and self-discovery.

The series is based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers book series.
Jacob Tierney is writer, director and executive producer. Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson also serve as executive producers.
Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje are producers, with Rachel Reid as consulting producer. Mike Goldbach serves as co-writer on season two.
