Netflix Australia highlights for week of 12 October 2026 – A political crisis, a Hollywood Arts return, a Mike Tyson documentary and several new films lead Netflix Australia’s releases from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 October.

The Diplomat season four is the week’s biggest returning series, arriving Thursday. The line-up also pairs new nonfiction titles with catalogue films, while WWE’s live weekly schedule continues.

For Australian viewers, these are local availability dates from Netflix ANZ rather than US-only announcements. The three WWE programmes have a separate midday AEDT live slot, so their viewing times should not be confused with the dated film and series releases below.

Monday 12 October

Free Leonard Peltier follows a new generation of activists fighting for the American Indian Movement leader’s freedom after he spent decades in prison for a disputed conviction. Leonard Peltier and Ted Evans feature in the documentary. Its subject makes it one of the week’s more substantial nonfiction additions.

Tomb Raider, the 2018 action film, also lands on Monday. Alicia Vikander plays Lara Croft, who searches for answers about her father’s disappearance using the clues he left behind. The cast includes Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Kristin Scott Thomas, Derek Jacobi, Alexandre Willaume and Hannah John-Kamen.

Tuesday 13 October

Michael Che: Shot in Minnesota brings the comedian back for a special addressing racism, marriage, free speech and more. Netflix has supplied an official trailer for the programme.

The Trap centres on author Lisa Konrad, who has not left home for a decade following her sister’s murder. When she believes she sees the killer on television, she devises a dangerous plan. Friederike Becht stars alongside Hans Löw, Matthias Brandt, Miriam Ohlmeyer, Josephine Thiesen, Malaya Takeda, Anna Schudt, Ursula Strauss, Michael Klammer and Sesede Terziyan.

TYSON is a four-part documentary series examining Mike Tyson’s rise, public turmoil and complicated life beyond boxing. Netflix’s trailer previews a first-person account supported by archival material and interviews.

The Diplomat: Season 4 returns with Kate Wyler trying to contain a crisis that damages the fragile peace she brokered between the United States and United Kingdom. At the same time, her marriage is under strain. Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell return, with David Gyasi, Ato Essandoh, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Allison Janney, Nana Mensah, Celia Imrie and Michael McKean in the line-up.

Netflix’s season-four preview adds that President Grace Penn and Vice President Hal Wyler’s actions could push the United States towards war. That raises the stakes beyond the Wylers’ personal conflict without resolving the political cliffhanger ahead of release.

Hollywood Arts sees Trina Vega return to the performing-arts school to steer a new group of talented teens towards stardom and trouble. Daniella Monet leads a cast including Alyssa Miles, Erika Swayze, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson and Martin Kamm.

Memoir of a Snail is also due Thursday. The Australian animated film follows a woman reflecting on a fractured childhood, separation from her twin and an unlikely friendship that helps her heal. Its voice cast includes Sarah Snook, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Eric Bana, Jacki Weaver, Magda Szubanski, Dominique Pinon, Paul Capsis, Tony Armstrong and Nick Cave. Its Australian creative connection gives this catalogue arrival particular local interest.

Orphan rounds out Thursday’s additions. Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard play grieving parents who adopt nine-year-old Esther, only for Kate to suspect that the child’s apparently innocent manner hides something darker. Isabelle Fuhrman also stars.

Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October

Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald arrives Friday. The documentary examines the deadpan comedian’s life and career, including the contradictions behind his public persona.

Saturday brings two supernatural horror films: Ouija and Ouija: Origin of Evil. In the first, grieving friends try to contact someone they have lost through a spirit board. The prequel shifts to 1960s California, where a fake medium’s daughter unleashes a dangerous force while trying to reach her late father.

WWE live times on Netflix Australia

WWE Raw streams live on Tuesdays at 12pm AEDT, WWE NXT on Wednesdays at 12pm AEDT and WWE SmackDown on Saturdays at 12pm AEDT. These are the regular live windows listed by Netflix ANZ for the week, separate from the new-series release dates.

The linked Raw clip is an earlier general programme promo, not a new episode preview.
