Supergirl streams exclusively on HBO Max from September 10 – DC Studios’ Supergirl will make its global streaming debut on Thursday, September 10, exclusively on HBO Max.
The release gives HBO Max a major DC title led by Australian actor Milly Alcock. It also adds strong local interest to one of the platform’s biggest superhero launches. TV Central follows HBO Max news and streaming releases in our HBO Max section.
Supergirl on HBO Max
Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El. The cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham. In addition, David Corenswet and Jason Momoa appear.
The film follows Kara, the cousin of Kal-El, as she emerges as an interplanetary nomad. Her story moves through loss, anger and a very different path to heroism. As a result, the film positions Kara as a distinct figure inside the new DC screen universe.
When a ruthless adversary strikes close to home, Kara joins forces with an unlikely companion. Together, they begin an interstellar journey driven by vengeance, justice and the need to save her best friend, Krypto.
For Australian viewers, Alcock’s lead role gives Supergirl an extra point of connection. The actor moves from prestige television into a major superhero title, while HBO Max gives the film a single streaming home from launch day.
Therefore, the streaming debut gives local DC fans a clear date for the next chapter in the franchise.
