July 2026 Streaming Highlights: Disney+ – Disney+ has revealed its July 2026 highlights, with a major month of premieres, returning favourites, blockbuster sequels, movies, documentaries, Hulu titles and live ESPN sport arriving across the platform.
Top Picks for July 2026 on Disney+
The headline release for the month is The Devil Wears Prada 2, premiering on 29 July, with Anne Hathaway returning as Andy Sachs and Meryl Streep back as the formidable Miranda Priestly.
The sequel sees Andy return to Runway magazine as the new features editor, where she finds her former boss Miranda facing fresh threats to her glossy print empire. With familiar frenemies and fresh faces joining the catwalk, the stylish sequel is set to be one of the biggest Disney+ premieres of the month.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres on 17 July, continuing the story of Red and Chloe after the Queen of Hearts has become nice and Cinderella is safe.
However, changing the past has created a brand-new villain: Maddox Hatter. When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, and Maddox’s son Max to save her and Wonderland.
Furious
The Hulu Original series Furious premieres on 27 July.
From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, the series follows FBI agent Alice Black, played by Emmy Rossum, as she hunts a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. As both women walk their own paths toward justice, their lives begin to intertwine and the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly blurred.
Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston
Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston premieres on 23 July.
The Disney+ documentary special sees Tom Hiddleston lead a groundbreaking investigation into the final 24 hours of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Combining cutting-edge archaeology with human stories from beneath the ash, the special follows a teenager, a businesswoman and a soldier as they face impossible choices in a race against time.
Ready or Not 2
Ready or Not 2 premieres on 2 July, with Samara Weaving returning as Grace.
Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace discovers she has reached the next level of the nightmarish game. This time, her estranged sister Faith, played by Kathryn Newton, is by her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world.
X-Men ’97: Season 2
Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97: Season 2 premieres on 1 July.
The Emmy-nominated animated series returns for a second season after becoming one of the most-watched Disney+ Original animated series, based on hours streamed globally. Season 2 continues with the heroic mutant team divided and thrown across different eras in time as they struggle to return home.
Back in the 1990s, suspicious foes and new strains of mutant intolerance are on the rise in the wake of the X-Men’s absence. The second season features nine episodes, with voice cast members including Ross Marquand as Professor X, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast.
Movies Coming to Disney+ in July 2026
Disney+ will add a strong collection of movie favourites during July, beginning with a major Spider-Man collection on 1 July.
Arriving on the platform are Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Also arriving on 1 July is Dirty Dancing.
On 2 July, the Hunger Games franchise joins Disney+, with The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 all being added to the platform.
Series and Specials Coming to Disney+ in July 2026
The month also includes a range of new and returning series, specials and Hulu titles.
On 1 July, Disney+ adds Magicampers and the Hulu title Abandoned. On 3 July, The Simpsons: Simpsley arrives as a special, followed by Hammerhead Sharks: Up Close with Bertie Gregory and The Husband on 5 July.
Project Runway: Season 22 arrives on 10 July, followed by Rabbit Hole on 13 July. On 14 July, Disney+ adds Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro and Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends: Season 5.
On 17 July, America’s Funniest Home Videos: Global Seasons 19, 20 and 21 arrive, alongside the Hulu title They Fight.
Later in the month, King of the Hill: Season 15 and Beyblade X: Season 2 arrive on 20 July, followed by Soy Luna: Let’s Roll Again on 24 July. On 29 July, Disney+ adds 9-1-1: Season 9 and The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder: Season 4.
ESPN on Disney+ in July 2026
ESPN on Disney+ will also have a busy July, with live sport and major events across basketball, baseball, cricket, ice hockey, esports and more.
Top picks for the month include the 2026 MLB All-Star Game on 15 July, the Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees MLB series from 18 July, the WNBA All-Star Game on 26 July, and the New Zealand Tour of the West Indies from 21 July.
Australian sports fans can also watch FIBA qualifying events, including Guam vs Australia on 3 July, Philippines vs Australia on 6 July, and Opals vs China on 6 July and 9 July.
Other ESPN highlights include the start of the NBA Summer League on 4 July, Australian Ice Hockey League matches, the 2026 NFL FLAG Championships on 25 July, the 2026 LoL KeSPA Cup Final Stage 1 – Day 1 on 28 July, and Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm in the WNBA on 29 July.
New Episodes on Disney+ in July 2026
Several titles will also continue with new episodes throughout July.
Criminal Minds: Evolution: Season 19 will release new episodes on Fridays, while King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA will release new episodes on Wednesdays. Doctor on the Edge will release new episodes on 7 and 8 July, and MAO will release new episodes on Sundays.
