Ahsoka season 2 premieres on Disney+ in January – Disney+ has confirmed season two of Lucasfilm’s Emmy Award-winning series Ahsoka will premiere on 20 January 2027.
The announcement arrived at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. There, Disney+ debuted the teaser trailer and new poster for the Star Wars series.
For Australian Disney+ subscribers, the date gives the next major Star Wars television chapter a clear place on the summer streaming calendar. Also, it continues the story of Ahsoka Tano after season one expanded the live-action links between Star Wars Rebels and the New Republic era.
Ahsoka Faces A New Threat
Rosario Dawson returns as Ahsoka Tano. Season two takes place after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic.
However, the new season also widens the threat around her. Ahsoka must confront what it means to be a Jedi as Grand Admiral Thrawn rises again.
Disney+ says the season continues Ahsoka’s journey beyond the known galaxy. Meanwhile, Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren travel across a mysterious and dangerous world.
They are trying to find their way home. At the same time, Hera, Ezra, Zeb and Chopper must face Thrawn and his allies.
As a result, the New Republic could be pushed towards war.

Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Eman Esfandi, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann and Hayden Christensen.
In addition, series creator Dave Filoni appeared at D23 with Dawson, Christensen and Esfandi to introduce the new season. Filoni is Lucasfilm’s president and chief creative officer.
Also, the directors for season two are Dave Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anders Engstrom.
Filoni writes the series. He also executive produces with Jon Favreau and Carrie Beck. Plus, Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer, with John Bartnicki and Joan Schneider producing.
