BritBox September 2026 highlights – BritBox Australia has confirmed its September line-up, led by new and exclusive crime, mystery and documentary titles.
The month is built around British mystery and character-led drama, with Professor T returning for season five, Marble Hall Murders continuing the Magpie Murders franchise, and Holding bringing Graham Norton’s debut novel to screen.
For Australian subscribers, September also adds a strong factual slate, including Kate: A Life in Pictures, Adrian Dunbar: My Ireland and the true crime documentary KRAYS: London’s Gangsters.
Professor T – Season 5
Streaming new and exclusive to BritBox from 2 September 2026.
The razor-sharp and obsessively methodical Professor T returns for six new cases, with Ben Miller back as Professor Jasper Tempest.
Season five brings the investigative team fresh mysteries, ranging from bloody boxing matches to coded letters. The series also stars Sarah Woodward, Barney White and Douglas Reith.
BritBox is also adding more Ben Miller content during the month, with The Armstrong and Miller Show arriving on 18 September. I Want My Wife Back and Death in Paradise seasons one to 15 are available on BritBox Australia now.
Holding
Streaming new to BritBox from 10 September 2026.
Based on Graham Norton’s debut novel, Holding follows a small Irish village forced to confront long-buried secrets after a discovery outside Duneen.
Conleth Hill stars as Sergeant P.J. Collins, with Charlene McKenna, Clinton Liberty and Brenda Fricker also appearing in the four-part mystery.
Marble Hall Murders – Season 3
Streaming new and exclusive to BritBox from 15 September 2026.
Marble Hall Murders is the third and final instalment in Anthony Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland series and continues the Magpie Murders franchise.
Lesley Manville returns as Susan in a mystery that unfolds across two interlocking stories, as a real-life murder is hidden inside a fictional manuscript. The cast also includes Tim McMullan and Yasmine Al Massri.
KRAYS: London’s Gangsters
Streaming new to BritBox from 25 September 2026.
This two-part true crime documentary examines Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the identical twins who became notorious figures in London’s East End underworld during the 1950s and 60s.
The series uses archive footage, expert interviews and first-hand accounts to explore the brothers’ rise, reign and legacy.
Kate: A Life in Pictures
Streaming new and exclusive to BritBox from 7 September 2026.
Kate: A Life in Pictures offers a curated portrait of Catherine, Princess of Wales, told through images that have defined her public life.
The documentary traces her evolution as a public figure, a mother and a future queen, with expert commentary and photography from across her life in the public eye.
