Apple TV renews The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy for season four – Eugene Levy is packing his bags once again, with Apple TV confirming a fourth season of its Emmy Award-nominated travel series The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy.
The new eight-episode season will see the Schitt’s Creek star continue pushing beyond his comfort zone, embracing experiences he once would have instinctively avoided. After three seasons on the road, Levy admits he may be more adventurous than he ever imagined.
“After three seasons on the show I have just about accepted, albeit begrudgingly, that saying ‘yes’ to new experiences is not necessarily a bad thing for me. So, I’ve committed to saying ‘yes’ a little more often this season. It’s a strategy I’m approaching with considerable caution,” Levy said.
Hosted and executive produced by Levy, The Reluctant Traveller has earned a loyal following by combining breathtaking destinations with the actor’s trademark humour and genuine reluctance to leave his comfort zone.
Since its debut, the series has attracted widespread critical acclaim and multiple award nominations. It has won Critics Choice Real TV Awards for Best Travel/Adventure Show and Best Unstructured Series, as well as an Imagen Award for Best Variety or Reality Show.
Season three became a global talking point thanks to Levy’s candid conversation with HRH Prince William, offering viewers a rare and personal insight into the royal’s role as both heir to the throne and a father. The season also featured Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Bublé and Levy’s daughter, Sarah Levy.
Apple TV has promised more special guests when the series returns, although destinations and celebrity appearances for season four are yet to be announced.
The complete first three seasons of The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy are now streaming on Apple TV.
