Stick season 2 trailer tees up Owen Wilson’s golf comeback on Apple TV – Owen Wilson’s Pryce Cahill is no longer content to guide a young player from the sidelines. The newly released trailer heralds a second season in which Santi’s professional ambitions and Pryce’s improbable return to competitive golf run side by side.
Stick returns to Apple TV in Australia on Wednesday, 4 November 2026. Two episodes will arrive on premiere day, followed by one each week until the ten-episode season ends on 30 December. Rhea Seehorn joins the cast as Amanda, the coach helping Pryce test whether his playing days are truly over.
For Australian viewers who followed the first season’s mentor-and-protégé story, the key change is that both golfers now have something at stake on the course. Santi must turn talent into results under professional pressure, while Pryce has to confront the career he left unfinished. The new trailer arrives after Apple introduced the season’s cast and November date earlier this year.

Two golfers, two different tests
Wilson plays Pryce, a former professional whose career stalled roughly 20 years before the events of the series. When his marriage ended and he lost his job at an Indiana sporting-goods store, he invested his hopes in Santi, a gifted but troubled 17-year-old played by Peter Dager. The first season built its found-family comedy around that unlikely partnership and the people travelling with them.
Season two advances Santi towards professional golf. According to Apple, the promise that once made him exciting now brings expectations he has to manage. That is a different problem from simply proving he has the ability to compete, and it creates room for the relationship with Pryce to change as Santi’s career becomes his own.
Meanwhile, Pryce’s former rival Clark Ross, played by Timothy Olyphant, pushes him to make an unexpected bet on himself. Pryce sets out to become the oldest golfer to win a major championship. Apple has not said how far he gets; the premise is as much about revisiting why he failed to fulfil his early promise as it is about a possible sporting record.
Seehorn’s Amanda enters as Pryce’s new coach. Mitts, the caddie played by Marc Maron, remains in his corner. That combination gives Pryce a team of his own just as Santi is trying to establish himself at the next level. Their parallel journeys are the clearest new direction in the second-season story.

Who is returning for Stick season 2?
Alongside Wilson, Dager, Maron and Olyphant, the returning ensemble includes Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay and Judy Greer. The second season also welcomes John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle. Apple has confirmed guest appearances from golf broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, as well as golf creators Matt Scharff and Dan Rapaport.
Jason Keller created Stick and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Wilson also executive produces the Apple Studios series. Other executive producers include Ben Silverman for Propagate Content, Guymon Casady for Entertainment 360, Christopher Moynihan, Rodney Ferrell, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg and Bill Callahan.
When does Stick season 2 stream in Australia?
The season begins Wednesday, 4 November 2026 on Apple TV, with its first two episodes released together. The remaining eight episodes are scheduled weekly through 30 December. Apple has not supplied a specific Australian release hour in the announcement, so the date is more useful than assuming a midnight drop in every time zone.
The first season is already on the service for viewers who want to catch up with Pryce and Santi before the new episodes. Season two keeps the golf setting, but the comeback plot gives Wilson’s character a goal of his own rather than making him solely a mentor to the younger player.
