Dark Matter season two leads new week on Apple TV – Apple TV has a busy week ahead, led by the season two premiere of the sci-fi thriller Dark Matter.
The new season begins streaming in Australia from Friday 28 August 2026, with Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly returning for another run of the mind-bending drama.
For Australian viewers, the line-up gives Apple TV another strong weekly slate across drama, comedy and family viewing, while also keeping several returning originals moving toward major September finales.
Dark Matter returns
Dark Matter is based on Blake Crouch’s bestselling novel and follows Jason Dessen, a physicist whose life is torn open by alternate realities and the choices he never made.
Season two picks up with the Dessen family trying to settle into a quieter life in a world that finally appears safe. However, that stability is threatened as Jason’s obsession with the Box deepens and Daniela’s paranoia grows.
The 10-episode season premieres with one episode on Friday 28 August. New episodes then stream weekly each Friday through 30 October 2026.
Trying reaches its season finale
Trying also reaches the end of season five this week. The family comedy continues to follow Nikki and Jason as they deal with the consequences of Princess and Tyler’s biological mother Kat arriving back in their lives.
The finale, titled WoodScott, sees truths begin to emerge at a family festival. The eighth and final episode of season five is now streaming on Apple TV.
New episodes this week
Women in Blue, also known as Las Azules, continues its second season with the episode Quintanilla. After questioning surviving student activists, the team discovers that one of them may be hiding something.
Ted Lasso season four continues with Greyhound’s Day Off. The coaches must work out how to break up team cliques, while Ted adjusts to life outside the locker room.
Silo season three reaches its penultimate episode, Farewell. The silo is shaken by an announcement from Camille, while Daniel and Helen attend a special event.
