Apple TV scores record 89 Emmy Award nominations – Apple TV earned a record 89 nominations across 15 programs for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The result marks Apple’s biggest Emmy nominations haul so far. It also puts Apple TV at the front of the major drama and comedy races.
Comedy and drama lead the field
Apple’s comedy slate led the announcement. Widow’s Bay earned 19 nominations.
Shrinking followed with 10 nominations. Margo’s Got Money Troubles added another eight.
Drama titles also made a strong showing. Pluribus collected 18 nominations, while Slow Horses scored nine.
Your Friends & Neighbours also joined the Outstanding Drama Series field.
Widow’s Bay tops the Apple list
The Television Academy placed Widow’s Bay in the Outstanding Comedy Series race. Matthew Rhys also earned a lead actor nomination.
Kate O’Flynn, Dale Dickey, Stephen Root, Hamish Linklater and Betty Gilpin also received acting nods.
The series also picked up nominations for writing, directing and editing.
Pluribus lands 18 nominations
Pluribus entered the Outstanding Drama Series race after its first season.
Rhea Seehorn earned a Lead Actress in a Drama Series nomination. Creator Vince Gilligan also earned writing and directing nominations.
The Television Academy also recognised Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Jeff Hiller and Miriam Shor.
Shrinking and Margo make an impact
Shrinking received 10 nominations. The list includes Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Jason Segel.
Harrison Ford, Michael Urie, Jessica Williams, Brett Goldstein and Michael J. Fox also earned acting nominations.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles made its Emmy debut with eight nominations.
Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman all earned acting nominations for the comedy.
More Apple TV titles recognised
Slow Horses earned its third straight Outstanding Drama Series nomination.
Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, Jonathan Pryce, Will Smith and Saul Metzstein also received nominations for the series.
On the non-fiction side, Mr. Scorsese scored several nominations. The list includes Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.
The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy also received two nominations.
Other Apple titles in the mix include Murderbot, Palm Royale, Morning Wars, Foundation, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Smoke and Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age.

Great stories have the ability to entertain, surprise, and bring people together, and these unprecedented nominations recognise shows that have done exactly that.
Matt Cherniss, Apple TV’s head of programming, thanked the Television Academy. He also congratulated the nominated creative teams.
Apple TV had a strong Emmy run last year as well. The Studio became the most-winning new comedy in Emmy history.
Severance also led as the year’s most-winning drama.
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on 14 September 2026.
