World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 in primetime on Channel 9 – Nine’s Wide World of Sports is on the starting blocks and all set to go for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, with Live and Free coverage beginning September 13 on the 9Network and 9Now.
The cream of our Australian track and field Athletics team will go on show in primetime for nine consecutive nights as our national team builds on the start of a golden period.
Taking on the world for Australia from the land of the rising sun will be headline acts – Paris 2024 Olympic pole vault Gold Medallist Nina Kennedy, and Aussie sprinting sensations Gout Gout and Lachlan Kennedy, who will attack the prestigious 100m sprint.
Joining them to chase glory in green and gold will be Paris 2024 Olympic Men’s discus bronze medallist Matt Denny, Olympic 1500m silver medallist Jess Hull, Olympic high jump silver medallist Nicola Olyslagers and long jump rising star Liam Adcock.
Standing in their way will be some of the most supreme athletes on the planet – American Olympic 100m sprint Gold Medallist Noah Lyles, Swedish Olympic gold medallist Pole Vaulter Mondo Duplantis and American Olympic gold medallist in the 400m Hurdles, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.
