After a thrilling weekend of football Argentina, Croatia, Morocco, and France are the final teams in the running to lift the trophy in Qatar on Monday 19 December. With only four matches to go until the end of the tournament, this week coming will see two huge clashes played on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
The first match of Quarter finals over the weekend kicked off with a huge upset with Croatia eliminating favourites Brazil, winning 4-2 on penalties after a nail-biting 1-1 at the end of extra time. Argentina continues to keep Lionel Messi’s World Cup dreams alive after beating the Netherlands 4-3 in a penalty shootout.
This morning, Morocco made history as the first-ever African team to make the semi-finals of a World Cup after a 1-0 victory sent Portugal home. The quarter finals were round out with defending champions France defeating England in another exhilarating and close match.
Richard Bayliss and Niav Owens will continue to host the broadcasts each day, sharing their insights and analysis alongside Mark Bosnich, Craig Foster and Sarah Walsh. Martin Tyler will provide world-exclusive match commentary on the ground for the remaining game.
