Alpha Boxing: Hussain v Brubaker streams tonight on Disney+ – One of Australia’s biggest boxing events of 2026 streams live tonight, with Alpha Boxing’s Hussain v Brubaker card exclusive to ESPN on Disney+.
The event airs across Australia and New Zealand from 7.00pm AEST on Wednesday, 2 September. For Perth viewers, that is 5.00pm AWST.
For Australian fight fans, the card is notable because it brings title fights, rising boxing names and rugby league crossover bouts into one streaming event. It also continues ESPN’s push to use Disney+ as a live sport destination in Australia and New Zealand.
Hussain v Brubaker
The main event is an IBO International Middleweight Title fight between Benjamin Hussain and Jack Brubaker.
Hussain enters as one of Australian boxing’s rising contenders. The release notes he is ranked fourth in Australia, behind names including Tim Tszyu, Nikita Tszyu and Ben Mahoney.
Brubaker, known as the Cronulla Cowboy, brings experience against elite Australian opposition. The bout is being pitched as a youth-versus-experience main event.
Title fights and Aokuso brothers
The co-main event features Austin Aokuso against Saipaier Rouzi for the WBC Australasian Light Heavyweight Title. Aokuso remains undefeated and has 10 knockouts from 11 wins.
The night will also feature Paulo Aokuso against Dou Wang. It marks the first time Austin and Olympian brother Paulo Aokuso have appeared on the same card.
Australia’s Linn Sandstrom will also face Britain’s Ruqsana Begum for the WBA Interim Flyweight World Title. Sandstrom is a former world title contender, while Begum is one of Britain’s most accomplished female fighters.
NRL names step into the ring
The card also includes two rugby league crossover fights.
- Tony ‘T-Rex’ Williams v Kamran Bahremand: Williams represented New South Wales, Australia and Tonga during his rugby league career and has since moved into professional boxing.
- Ben Roberts v David ‘Wolfman’ Williams: Former Bulldogs, Storm, New Zealand and Samoa player Roberts faces Manly cult favourite Williams, who makes his professional boxing debut.
