Aussie women’s cricket team kickstart an incredible summer on Seven and for the first time, 7plus
It’s time for the nation’s most decorated team, the Australian women’s cricket team, to launch the greatest summer of cricket yet on the Seven Network this Thursday when they take on New Zealand in the first of three blockbuster T20 matches in Queensland.
With an all-star line-up captained by Alyssa Healy, who will lead the team out onto Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay on Thursday, the Aussies will be looking to solidify their placing as the undisputed #1 team in the world ahead of a huge summer on home soil.
Over the next week on Seven, they will battle for world supremacy in a three-match T20 international series against New Zealand, all broadcast live and free on Seven and for the first time, 7plus.
The live and free action begins at 6.50pm AEST Thursday on 7mate and 7plus, with the opening match of the T20I series, and kicks off the start of a sensational 2024-25 summer of cricket on Seven and 7plus:
• Sunday, 27 October to Sunday 1 December – WBBL
• Friday November 22 – Tuesday, 7 January – Border-Gavaskar Trophy
• Thursday, December 5 – Wednesday, 11 December – Australia Women v India Women International Series
• Sunday, 15 December to Monday, 27 January 2025 – BBL
• Sunday, January 12 to Sunday, 2 February 2025 – Women’s Ashes Series
Seven’s cricket coverage for the women’s international and WBBL summer will feature Lisa Sthalekar, Emma Freedman, Holly Ferling, Erin Holland, Elyse Villani, Brad Hodge, Jason Richardson, Andy Maher, Alister Nicholson, Kirby Short, Katey Martin and Trent Copeland live from the ground for every match in the series.
In a coup for Australian cricket fans, Seven has also announced that Australian fast bowler, Mitch Starc will be behind the microphone throughout the Women’s Ashes Series.
