Minnesota blitzed the Warriors in five games led by star Anthony Edwards.
The Oklahoma City Thunder meanwhile survived a seven-game series against Denver, claiming a comprehensive 125-93 rout of the Nuggets in the decider.
Oklahoma’s win moved the Thunder into the Western Conference Finals for the first time since Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook led the franchise there in 2016.
The 2025 version of OKC stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren.
The Anthony Edwards-Shai Gilgeous showdown will be a battle of generation next, and an expected arm wrestle for the Magic Johson Trophy.
Minnesota and Oklahoma split the regular season games 2-2 and the Western Conference Finals look set to go down to the wire.
Thursday May 22 tips off the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Indiana Pacers meet the New York Knicks at 10am AEST.
The Indiana Pacers showed they are a clear championship contender, eliminating the top seed Cleveland Cavaliers in five games.
Despite the heroics of Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton in Indiana, all the hype is for the Knicks.
New York is in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.
In a rematch of 25 years ago, ironically it was the Pacers who stood in the way of an NBA Finals appearance back then.

The Knicks clinched their series against the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics in six games – the last, a 38-point win – the largest ever playoff win in Knicks history.
