Kate McCarthy named The Game’s 2026 AFLW ambassador — Seven West Media’s free tipping platform, The Game, has named AFLW premiership player and 7AFL commentator Kate McCarthy as its ambassador for the 2026 AFLW season.
McCarthy will provide weekly tips, expert insights and exclusive content for fans using the platform during the season.
The move gives Seven a familiar AFLW voice at the centre of its digital fan experience. It also underlines how broadcasters are using tipping, fantasy-style play and social engagement to keep sport audiences involved beyond match coverage.
The Game Expands AFLW Push
The Game now has more than 120,000 registered users across AFL, AFLW, NRL and cricket.
Seven said the platform continues to create a strong environment for fans and advertisers, with McCarthy joining as part of its 2026 AFLW activity.
Seven West Media Chief Executive Officer Maryna Fewster said McCarthy was one of the most respected voices in AFLW.
“Kate is one of the most respected voices in AFLW, and we’re thrilled to have her join The Game, where her passion, expertise and strong connection with fans make her a fantastic addition to the platform,” Fewster said.
“The Game continues to grow as an important part of Seven West Media’s digital portfolio and Kate’s involvement reflects our ongoing investment in the platform and commitment to delivering even more engaging experiences for fans throughout the AFLW season.”
McCarthy Ready To Tip
McCarthy said footy tipping was about bringing fans together through the season.
“Footy tipping is all about bringing people together, whether it’s mates, family or colleagues, and The Game has created a fantastic platform for fans to enjoy the AFLW season,” McCarthy said.
“I’m excited to be part of The Game in 2026, sharing my tips and insights each week and hopefully helping a few people climb the leaderboard.”
Registrations for AFLW tipping are now open. A $500 cash prize will be awarded each week to the round’s top tipper, with a $5,000 prize for the season’s overall winner.
