Analysis for Total TV (19 October, 2022) and Overnight (26 October, 2022) ratings.
TOTAL TV
The Block was again #1 overall, surpassing the News offerings on both 7 and 9, with 1, 423 000, the show was up 33%. Nine News 6pm) was up 4% to 970 000 viewers and Nine News (6:30pm) was also up 4% to exactly the magic million. The special documentary, Britney and Kevin: Family Feud was up 11% to 369 000.
Seven News (6pm) was #2 overall with 1, 340 000, up 3%, whilst Seven News (6:30pm) was also up 3% to 1, 320 000. Home and Away was up 22% and still sat #3 in the timeslot, but only 71 000 viewers separated first and third in the slot. Kitchen Nightmares Australia is doing well when Total TV figures are released, this week up 32% to 750 000 viewers. Extreme Weddings: Australia rose 10% to 237 000, which is not enough to give the show a second season.
The Project (6:30pm) rose 4% to 307 000, whilst the 7pm half hour was on 402 000, also up 4%. A repeat of The Dog House Australia was on 345 000, up 6%.
As usual, ABC had a strong night with ABC News up 3% to 911 000 viewers. Hard Quiz was up 13% to 880 000, Question Everything had an uplift of 9% to 619 000, Summer Love rose 22% to 474 000 and Would I Lie to You was up 19% to 309 000 viewers.

Analysis
Nine News (6pm) was #5 overall with 706 000 viewers with a win in Sydney. The 6:30pm half hour of the news actually increased on the 6pm portion with 717 000 viewers. A Current Affair won the 7pm slot with 602 000. The Block was #3 overall and #1 non news with 763 000. The documentary, The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee had 252 000 viewers. Nine News Late had 131 000 and Family Law had 48 000 viewers.
Seven News 6pm was #2 for the evening with 837 000 and wins in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The 6:30pm half hour of the News was #1 at 838 000. Home and Away was on 429 000. Kitchen Nightmares had 371 000 viewers at 7:30pm. Extreme Weddings Australia (with 1 episode left to go) had 147 000, whilst Air Crash Investigations, built on its lead in with 150 000. However, when regional figures are combined, Extreme Weddings has more viewers than Air Crash Investigations. The Latest: Seven News had 112 000 viewers.
The Project (6:30pm) had 187 000, but rose to 272 000 at 7pm. A repeat of The Dog House Australia had 226 000. The Real Love Boat Australia is still struggling in overnights with 142 000 viewers. My Life is Murder was on 82 000.
The ABC had another successful Wednesday with Hard Quiz on 515 000 and Question Everything on 464 000. The real winner was Fisk, increasing on both of its proceeding shows on 543 000. Would I Lie to You had 309 000.

- ACA wins 7pm timeslot across 5 City and East Coast and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People
- Today wins breakfast slot across the East Coast and in Brisbane with Total People
