TOTAL TV
Seven News was again #1 in the Wednesday Total TV report. The new service rose 3% to 1,278 000 viewers. Seven News at 6:30 also rose 3% and was #2 overall with 1,254 000. Home and Away is now #1 in its slot with 892 000, up 22%. A repeat of Hey Hey It’s 50 Years was up 8% to 601 000. The Chase Australia continues to be an important lead in to Seven News and was #10 overall for the night at 730 000, up 3%. The Chase Australia – 5pm was up 4% to 477 000. Seven News at 4:30 had an uplift of 3% to 289 000. Sunrise was #19 overall with 394 000, up 4%.
Nine News 6:30 was up 4% to 947 000. Nine News was #5 for the evening with 941 000, up 4%. A Current Affair was #3 in its slot with 789 000, with a rise of 5%. RBT was on 457 000, up 7%. Paramedics built on its lead in with 480 000, a rise of 14% and enough for it to land at #15 for the evening. A+E After Dark was up 10% to 296 000. Hot Seat was at #14 overall with 482 000, an improvement of 4% on its overnights. Hot Seat – 5pm was also up 4% to 303 000. Tipping Point was up 6% to 389 000. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 match between New Zealand and Pakistan grew by 9% to 339 000. Nine’s Afternoon News was on 338 000 and was up 3%. Today was at #28 with 302 000, an uplift of 7%.
Love Island continues its impressive Total TV run increasing its overnight broadcast audience of 38 000 to land at #23 for the night with 343 000, a rise of 560%.
10 New First increased its audience by 2% to 325 000. The Project 7pm had 372 000 viewers, a rise of 4%. The Dog House Australia (repeat) rose 4% to 427 000.
ABC News rose 4% to 796 000, whilst 730 was up 5% to 699 000. Hard Quiz was #7 overall with 815 000 viewers, an increase of 17%. Question Everything was up 14% to 646 000. The big winner was again Fisk. It was the #3 program overall for the night and was #1 non news. It was watched by a 7 day audience of 994 000, which is a rise of 66%. Would I Lie to You had 370 000, up 12%.

Analysis
Seven News at 6:30 was #1 overall in the overnights with 861 000 viewers and wins in all markets. Seven News was #2 with 854 000 and also had a clean sweep in all markets. Home and Away was #7 for the night, but #3 in its slot with that almost guaranteed to change in the Total TV report next week. It had an audience of 525 000 viewers. A repeat of Hey Hey It’s 100 Years had an audience of 384 000. Air Crash Investigations followed with the season final on 165 000. The Latest: Seven News was on 121 000. The US version of The Amazing Race was watched by just 55 000, with the majority of its fans heading to 7plus.
Nine News was #3 with 690 000 viewers with no wins from the capital city markets. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with 679 000. A Current Affair was #5 overall, but #1 in its slot with 548 000. The wonderful Country Home Rescue with Shaynna Blaze opened with 381 000 viewers. The new series Dream Listing Byron Bay was on 221 000. A repeat of Escape to the Chateau had 123 000. Nine News Late was on 83 000. Family Law had 44 000 late night viewers.
The Project 6:30pm had 178 000 viewers. The Project 7pm built on that lead in to 260 000. A repeat of The Dog House Australia was watched by 290 000. The Real Love Boat Australia had 128 000 fans for the second last episode. My Life is Murder deserves more than 60 000 viewers.
ABC News was tops for the national broadcaster at #7 with 547 000. 730 followed and was at #9 with 461 000. Hard Quiz built on its lead in with 478 000 viewers. Question Everything was watched by 408 000. Fisk was at #11 with 457 000, but watch that build in total TV. Would I Lie to You was #20 with 256 000 viewers.
