Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach loss of 22 000 and an average audience loss of 43 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 350 000 (911 000). A repeat of The 1% Club UK was #5 with 1 611 000 (879 000). The Front Bar was #11 with 1 200 000 (618 000). Unfiltered was #23 with 682 000 (375 000). A repeat of Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera was #36 with 377 000 (121 000). A repeat of Born to Kill was on 176 000 (75 000).

The Chase UK – 400 000 (192 000)

Nine

9News was #1 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 668 000 (1 148 000). The Hundred with Andy Lee was #6 with 1 542 000 (708 000). The Grand Tour was #10 with 1 237 000 (349 000). 9News Late was on 179 000 (99 000). Ski Rescue Down Under aired in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and was on 223 000 (69 000). Freddy and the Eighth aired in Sydney and Brisbane and was on 151 000 (45 000). A repeat of The Equalizer was on 130 000 (64 000).

Tipping Point UK (R) – 566 000 (313 000)

Deal or No Deal was #31 with 522 000 (279 000). The Project was #17 with 892 000 (353 000). MasterChef Australia – Wednesday was #13 with 1 054 000 (582 000). Elsbeth was #28 with 579 000 (241 000). FBI: International was on 299 000 (128 000). 10’s Late News was on 172 000 (108 000).

ABC

ABC News was #12 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 315 000 (803 000). Gruen was #15 with 974 000 (667 000). The Weekly with Charlie Pickering was #14 with 978 000 (649 000). Planet America was #20 with 786 000 (458 000). Big Boys was #40 with 369 000 (124 000). Mayfair Witches was on 82 000 (24 000). ABC Late News was on 140 000 (43 000).

  • 9News was the No.1 program and No.1 news bulletin on Wednesday night with Total People and all key demographics across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It was also the No.1 program and preferred news bulletin with People 25 to 54 and People 16 to 39 in Adelaide as well as with People 16 to 39 in Perth. Last night was the highest rating bulletin of the year across the 5 City Metro, with a lead of 168,000 viewers over its competitor.
  • It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.213 million  and a Total TV National Audience of 1.438 million (up 17.1% year-on-year). On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 130,000 was up an impressive 49.4% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.668 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.148 million – up 11.8% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 96,000 – up 37.1% on the same night last year.
  • The Hundred with Andy Lee won the 7.30pm timeslot with People 25 to 54 and 16 to 39 across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.542 million and a Total TV National Audience of 708,000 – up 43.3% on the same episode last year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 65,000 up a massive 91.2% on the same episode last year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People and all key demographics across Australia and in all five major capital cities. This was the second highest rating episode of all time, securing a lead of more than 200,000 viewers over its game show competitor.
  • It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.640 million , a Total TV National Audience of 898,000 (up 16.9% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 77,000 – up a huge 57.1% year-on-year. 
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People and all key demographics in Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a Total TV National Reach of 835,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 329,000 and a BVOD audience of 45,000 – up 25.0% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network on Wednesday across the 5 City Metro with key demographics People 25-54 and People 16-39.

In Sydney, three teams competed for immunity in a service challenge inspired by pub classics, but only half of the team will be cooking at one time. The Orange team’s Kingfish main, clinched them victory with Andre, Beau, Callum, Ben, Declan and Depinder safe from Sunday’s elimination.
