Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach audience lead of 19 000 and an average audience lead of 51 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #6 with 1 371 000 (889 000). A repeat of The 1% Club was #8 with 1 322 000 (784 000). Boyzone: Life, Death and Boybands was #13 with 953 000 (437 000). A repeat of Ed Sheeran v Adele was #26 with 595 000 (214 000). The Agenda Setters was on 122 000 (48 000). A repeat of Police Custody USA was on 69 000 (26 000).

The Chase UK – 392 000 (171 000)

The Agenda Setters (7mate) – 133 000 (75 000)

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 805 000 (1 203 000). The Block was #3 with 2 025 000 (1 079 000). Paramedics was #9 with 1 290 000 (521 000). Footy Classified aired in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and was #42 with 390 000 (152 000). Ski Rescue Down Under aired in Sydney and Brisbane and was #48 with 376 000 (140 000). 9News Late was on 202 000 (114 000). A repeat of La Brea was on 124 000 (42 000).

Tipping Point UK – 554 000 (314 000)

10 News+ was #31 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #22 with 700 000 (367 000). MasterChef Australia was #12 with 1 058 000 (625 000). The Cheap Seats was #14 with 939 000 (509 000). FBI: Most Wanted was #28 with 555 000 (178 000). 10’s Late News was on 142 000 (89 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 220 000 (736 000). Foreign Correspondent was #16 with 775 000 (595 000). Dr Ann’s Secret Lives was #19 with 752 000 (395 000). A repeat of Dr Karl’s How Things Work was #32 with 480 000 (258 000). A repeat of Earth was #35 with 452 000 (188 000). ABC Late News was on 149 000 (36 000).

  • The Block was Australia’s No. 1 program with People 25-54 and 16-39. It was also a dominant timeslot winner across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth with Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.025 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.079 million – up 13.9% year-on-year. It recorded a BVOD Audience of 182,000 – up 19.1% year-on-year.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin across the 5 City Metro, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.184 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.375 million. On 9Now, it secured a BVOD Audience of 143,000.
  • A Current Affair was a timeslot winner across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People. It had a National Total TV Reach of 1.805 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.203 million. On 9Now, it registered a BVOD Audience of 120,000.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.522 million and a Total TV National Audience of 826,000. On 9Now its BVOD Audience of 82,000.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Sydney and Melbourne. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 764,000, a Total TV National Audience of 302,000. On 9Now its BVOD audience was 46,000.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Tuesday across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People.
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Tuesday with all key demos and Total People.

Seven reaches 5.51 million on Tuesday, 7NEWS #1 program    

  • National total TV audience share, 6.00am to midnight: 39.1%
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 37.5%

       MasterChef Australia: Back To Win: The final three contestants took part in a classic MasterChef challenge, the Time Auction. Beginning with 120 minutes, they bid for their ingredients using time. A 15-minute advantage in the Semi Final was on the line with Jamie’s strategic restraint paying off in the end. The judges praise the depth, balance, and execution of his dish, awarding him a 15-minute head start in what will be his first ever Semi-Final.   Reached 1.06 million total national viewers. #2 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s. Season-to-date: Reaching 10.6 million total national viewers. 7-Day Total Viewing Audience (Tuesday, 29 July): Reached 1.22 million total national viewers.   The Cheap Seats: Hosts Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald took a fun look at the week that was from The Cheap Seats, joined by Cultural Correspondent Mel Tracina, TV royalty, Sandra Sully and Vixens netball champion, Jo Weston.   Reached 939,000 million total national viewers. #1 in its timeslotin total people andin 25 to 54s.
