7NEWS launches new brand campaign Connecting You – 7NEWS – Australia’s #1 news service – has launched its new brand campaign: Connecting You, capturing the spirit of the Seven Network’s deep links to communities across the country.

Live this week across broadcast, radio, digital, social and out-of-home, Connecting You is supported by a suite of creative assets, including TV commercials, presenter vignettes and behind-the-scenes content that reflects the heart of 7NEWS – to inform, support and stand up for Australians in every corner of Australia, every day.

The campaign features emotional reflections from the trusted faces viewers welcome into their homes each night – 7NEWS anchors and senior correspondents representing Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and regional Queensland, including Mark Ferguson, Angela Cox, Michael Usher, Chris Reason, Peter Mitchell, Rebecca Maddern, Jane Bunn, Mike Amor, Rosanna Mangiarelli, Will Goodings, Susannah Carr, Rick Ardon, Max Futcher, Sarah Greenhalgh, Mark Riley and Hugh Whitfeld.

Whether it’s breaking developments, local victories, or the major events that move us all, the campaign highlights the power of connection – between journalist and viewer, newsroom and community, screen and real life, and the role 7NEWS plays in keeping people in the know, part of their communities, and connected to the facts and decision-makers.

Seven’s Network Director of News and Current Affairs, Ray Kuka, said:

“More than a tagline, Connecting You is a promise. It positions 7NEWS as the essential link between people and what matters most – news that affects their families, their communities and their futures.

“Our journalists live and work in the communities they report on. Connecting You honours that deep local connection, while reinforcing the national strength of a brand trusted by millions. At a time when trust, relevance and clarity matter more than ever, Connecting You reflects not just the service 7NEWS provides – but why it matters.

“The truth has never mattered more, and nothing beats the detail and credibility that comes from our reporters in the thick of it. Not making calls from behind a desk or guessing from an internet search – out there, front and centre, connecting viewers with the facts and the pictures.

“Whether reporting from the field or delivering the day’s headlines, our journalists represent the connection 7NEWS has built with viewers over decades – locally, statewide and nationally.”

7NEWS network anchor Michael Usher said:

“If we don’t connect with anyone watching our news or interviews, we haven’t done our jobs properly. Connecting you is so simple but so important – letting you know what it means, why it’s important, why we should care is all part of the most fundamental reason we do what we do.”

7NEWS Chief Reporter Chris Reason said:

“I’ve travelled hundreds of thousands of kilometres around the world on assignment for 7NEWS, connecting Australians with the global issues that matter most. We strive to put Australians right there on the scene – whether it’s the frontline of conflict or the front row of major events. We want Australians to feel like they are witnessing these moments for themselves, through Australian eyes. We take the risk, so you can take the journey.”

7NEWS Adelaide’s Rosanna Mangiarelli said:

“At 7NEWS, we stand for community and connection. Everything we do is for all Australians. We give them a voice, we’ve got their backs, and we’re here to inform, support, and make life a little easier. From the heartbreak and the hope, it’s a rollercoaster we ride together. We’re a team that’s committed, and above all, a team that truly cares.”

7NEWS Melbourne’s Peter Mitchell said:

“In all the decades I’ve been associated with 7NEWS, our priority has really never changed. We are here to keep our local community informed about what is going on around them. That is the essence of news. That is our bread and butter. Around the clock, we never underestimate the importance of delivering the news that matters.”

7NEWS is Australia’s most-watched news service, delivering breaking news, deep analysis and stories that matter to millions across metro and regional markets every day.

With award-winning journalists across every state and territory, 7NEWS is committed to delivering timely, credible journalism on every platform, around the clock.

Seven’s market-leading news and current affairs programs built their audiences in the first half of 2025:
