Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach audience lead of 109 000 and an average audience lead of 128 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #10 with 1 176 000 (836 000). Home and Away – episode 2 was #14 with 932 000 (756 000). Home and Away – episode 3 was #15 with 879 000 (728 000). The movie, The Proposal was #11 with 1 156 000 (338 000). An encore of Australian Idol was #50 with 301 000 (94 000).

Sunrise – Early – 513 000 (241 000)

The Chase UK – 397 000 (225 000)

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 587 000 (970 000). Married at First Sight – Thursday was #1 with 2 584 000 (1 458 000). Winter Olympics 2026: Night was #32 with 476 000 (177 000). Winter Olympics 2026: Night Session 2 was #4 with 1 649 000 (511 000). Winter Olympics 2026: Late was #19 with 716 000 (214 000). Winter Olympics 2026: Late – Extended was #41 with 360 000 (86 000).

Today – Early – 401 000 (187 000)

Tipping Point UK – 531 000 (264 000)

10 News+ was #47 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #58 with 279 000 (152 000). Millionaire Hot Seat was #27 with 537 000 (322 000). David Attenborough’s Parenthood was #20 with 713 000 (245 000). The Graham Norton Show was #29 with 535 000 (189 000). 10’s Late News was #52 with 293 000 (104 000). An encore of 10 News+ was #110 with 134 000 (73 000).

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 188 000 (767 000). Grand Designs Transformations was #13 with 945 000 (478 000). Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job was #25 with 592 000 (320 000). A repeat of The Piano UK was #33 with 472 000 (191 000). ABC Late News was 78 with 195 000 (46 000).

How the Networks Analysed their Own Performance

  • Married at First Sight was Australia’s No. 1 program with Total People and all key demographics. It was also the No. 1 program with People 25-54 and People 16-39 in all five metro capital cities. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.584 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.458 million – up 2.2% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD audience of 487,000 – up 41.6% when compared to the same day last year.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People and all key demographics. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.910 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.174 million (up 13.8% on the same night last year). On 9Now, its BVOD Audience of 177,000 was up an impressive 84.4% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.587 million and a Total TV National Audience of 970,000 – up 12.8% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 164,000 – up a massive 110.3% on the same night last year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.323 million and a Total TV National Audience of 692,000, up 9.0% year-on-year. It recorded a BVOD audience of 96,000 lifting the timeslot by an impressive 88.2% when compared to the same day last year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 764,000 and a BVOD audience of 49,000 – up 22.5% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Thursday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos.
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD Platform on Thursday across Australia with Total People and all key demos.

The 9Network reached 2.405 million Australians on Day 1 of its coverage of the Winter Olympic Games 2026.

Winter Olympic Games 2026 Night Session D-1 (19:00-21:00) – achieved a National Total TV Reach of 476,000, a Total TV National Audience of 177,000 and a BVOD audience of 21,000. 

Winter Olympic Games 2026 Night Session 2 D-1 (21:00-22:30) – dominated its timeslot across Australia with Total People and all key demos. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.649 million, a Total TV National Audience of 511,000 and a BVOD audience of 103,000. 

Winter Olympic Games 2026 Late D-1 (22:30-24:00) – achieved a National Total TV Reach of 716,000, a Total TV National Audience of 215,000 and a BVOD audience of 46,000. 

Winter Olympic Games 2026 Late Extended D-1 (24:00-02:00) – achieved a National Total TV Reach of 360,000, a Total TV National Audience of 86,000 and a BVOD audience of 22,000.

The 9Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos.9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with Total People and all key demos.
