Sunday Ratings – Kath and Kim #1 non news in overnights with Australia’s Got Talent on top in Total TV

Analysis for Total TV (13 November, 2022) and Overnight (20 November, 2022) ratings.

TOTAL TV

Seven News was #1 in the Total TV report for last Sunday 13th November with 1,241 000 viewers, a rise of 3%. Australia’s Got Talent was #3 but #1 in its slot with 908 000, an increase of 12%. Code 1: Minute by Minute, which has been renewed for a second season, was on 409 000, up 8%. Weekend Sunrise was strong again at #17 with 355 000, up 3%. Weekend Sunrise – Early was on 251 000, up 4%. Seven News at 5 was on 332 000, up 2%.

Nine News Sunday was #2 overall with 1,004 000, an increase of 4%. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Final between England and Pakistan had a final 7 day total of 816 000, an increase of 12% on the overnight rating. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Final Post Match was #23 with 275 000, up 11%. My Mum Your Dad shows much better signs in Total TV with 614 000, a huge rise of 42% and landing at #7. 60 Minutes had 558 000 viewers, an uplift of 17%. Nine News: First at Five had 328 000 viewers, up 2%. Nine News Late was on 289 000, up 5%. Weekend Today had 256 000 and was up 5% on its overnights.

The Traitors ended its season on 10 with the main portion of the show #11 with 424 000, up 24%. The announcement of the winner titled The Traitors: End Game actually was lower than the main show at #12 with 421 000 viewers, up 22%. The show’s future is yet to be decided by 10. The Sunday Project 6:30pm had 277 000, up 4%, but The Sunday Project 7pm increased that audience to 388 000 and was up 4%. 10 News First Sunday was #20 with 305 000, an increase of 2%. NCIS: Hawaii was #28 and had a great 34% increase for 250 000 viewers.

ABC News Sunday was tops for the national broadcaster placing #5 with 671 000, up 4%. A repeat of Death in Paradise was strong and beat My Mum Your Dad on Nine with 648 000 viewers, an increase of 10% and at #6 for the night. Significant Others was #10 for its penultimate episode of the season with 453 000, up 42%. Silent Witness was up a big 51% to 420 000 viewers. Insiders had strong morning placing at #9 overall with 538 000, up 17%. Offsiders was #24 with 268 000 and up 7%. Landline had a loyal following at #15 with 397 000 viewers, a rise of 9%. Antiques Roadshow was on 255 000, up 6%. ABC News at Noon was on 240 000 viewers, an increase of 3% and ABC News Breakfast was on 233 000 and up 4%, but that does not include the simulcast on ABC News.

Analysis

Seven News Sunday was #1 overall with 871 000 viewers and won outright in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and tied in Melbourne. Kath and Kim: Our Effluent Life was #2 overall with a strong 786 000 fans joining in for a mix of new content and a trip down memory lane. The grand final of Australia’s Got Talent was watched by 541 000 at the later time of 8:10pm. The special, Greatest ABBA Cover Versions Ever was watched by 163 000 viewers.

Nine News Sunday had to settle for #3 and only a tie in Melbourne. The Lego Masters Bricksmas Special had 561 000 viewers and was #4 for the night. 60 Minutes was #7 with 391 000, down on the bigger numbers it was getting leading out of The Block. Nine News Late was on 229 000.

The Sunday Project 6:30pm was on 199 000, but that figure increased for The Project 7pm in which Lisa Wilkinson made the announcement of her departure on 244 000. The Graham Norton Show aired a new episode on 165 000 at #20 for the night. NCIS: Hawaii had 115 000 viewers but will get a big increase next week in Total TV.

A repeat of Death in Paradise was on 376 000 and was #8 for the night. Significant Others ended its season wat #11 with 230 000 viewers. A repeat of the special Freddie Mercury: The Final Act had 159 000 fans.
