TOTAL TV
The Block powered the Total TV rankings with The Winner Announcement on a whopping 2,856 000, up 17%. The main component of The Block finale was on 2, 355 000, up 17%. Nine News Sunday was on 1,150 000, up 4%. 60 Minutes had a strong night with The Block as a lead in with 980 000, up 12%. Nine News Late had 377 000, up 6%. Nine News: First at Five rose 3% to 272 000. Weekend Today – Sunday had an uplift of 5% to 255 000.
Seven News Sunday cracked the million with 1,206 000, up 3%. Australia’s Got Talent was #6 with 821 000, up 14%. The season final, and not renewed, Armed & Dangerous was on 340 000, up 8%. Seven News at Five rose 2% to 324 000. Weekend Sunrise was really strong on 341 000, up 4% with Weekend Sunrise – Early on 258 000, up 3%. Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was on 223 000, up 3% for its afternoon repeat.
ABC News Sunday was #7 with 641 000 up 4%. Inside the Sydney Opera House was on 491 000, up 8%. Insiders had a strong episode landing at #9 with 466 000, up 20%. Significant Others continues to have a strong Total TV presence on 405 000, up 52%. Landline is a surprise Total TV winner at #11 overall with 377 000, up 9%. Silent Witness improved by 48% to 374 000 viewers. Antiques Roadshow was #25 with 248 000, up 6%. Even ABC News at Noon made the Top 30 with 227 000, up 2% and Weekend Breakfast was on 220 000, up 4%.
The Traitors was best for 10 with 368 000, up 37%. The Sunday Project 6:30pm had 263 000 viewers, up 4%. That result improved with The Project at 7pm on 298 000, up 5%. 10 News First at 296 000, was a rise of 2%. NCIS: Hawaii showed a strong gain of 29%, rising to 268 000 viewers. 10 News First – 6pm was on 232 000, up 2%.
SBS made the Total TV chart at #27 with Curse of the Ancients on 231 000, up 8%.
OVERNIGHT RATINGS

Analysis
Seven News Sunday was #1 overall with 793 000 with wins in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and a tie in Melbourne. Australia’s Got Talent was #1 non news with 519 000 for the penultimate episode of the season. Code 1: Minute by Minute had 221 000 viewers for its penultimate episode as well. A Women Behind Bars special had 113 000 viewers.
Nine News Saturday was #2 with 693 000 viewers and a win in Sydney and a tie in Melbourne. My Mum Your Dad moved to Sunday night for one week only with 325 000 viewers. 60 Minutes had only 331 000 viewers, that result no doubt lower because of the cricket coverage on 9Gem. Nine News Late had 192 000.
All hats off to Nine with coverage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Final match between England and Pakistan coming in #5 for the night, even though it was screened on a multi channel – 9Gem. The match was broadcast to 501 000 and allowed 9Gem to record a share of 16.9%.
ABC News was #3 with 555 000 viewers. A repeat of Death in Paradise was on 389 000, enough to be #6 for the night. Significant Others had 227 000 at 8:30pm and then Silent Witness was on 192 000.
For 10, The Sunday Project 6:30pm had 182 000, but there was rise at 7pm to 255 000. The winner announced of The Traitors titled ‘End Game’ had 265 000 viewers, whilst the main component of the show had 228 000. NCIS: Hawaii had 128 000 viewers.
