TOTAL TV
Doc Martin on the ABC was the big winner in Total TV, being the #1 program overall on Saturday night with over one million viewers. The show attracted 1,018 000 viewers, which was up 36% on the overnights. ABC News had a bumper night as well landing at #4 with 762 000 viewers, up 4%. The Capture increased by 58% to 480 000. A repeat of Vera was up 25% to 237 000, whilst Secrets of the Museum was up 9% to 179 000. Weekend Breakfast moved to 182 000, up 5% (main channel only). Favourite, Midsomer Murders was on 213 000, up 8%.
Seven News had to settle for #2 with 987 000, up 2%. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line had 608 000, up 4%. Seven went with Home Alone for 335 000 fans, up 6% and then Home Alone 2: Lost in New York on 215 000, up 4%. Weekend Sunrise was #9 overall with an impressive 394 000, up 3%. Even Weekend Sunrise – Late made the Top 30 at #11 with 345 000, up 3% as did Weekend Sunrise Early at #14 with 286 000, up 4%. The Morning Show – Weekend increased 3% to 178 000.
Nine News Saturday was #3 with 833 000, up 3%. A Current Affair was #6 with 580 000, up 4%. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle rated above Home Alone and had 357 000 viewers, a rise of 6% to land at #10. Nine News: First at Five was #13 with 287 000 viewers, up 2%. Weekend Today rose 6% to 238 000, Weekend Today – Late had 198 000, up 6% and Weekend Today – Early had 180 000, up 6%.
The best for 10 was Blue Bloods at #16 with 242 000, up 34%. CSI: Vegas was not far behind with 228 000, up 37% and the encore of NCIS was at #25 with 185 000 fans, up 20%. 10 News First was #30 with 172 000 viewers, up 2%/
SBS made the Total TV chart with Secrets of the Royal Palaces at #15 with 246 000, up 9% and Secrets of the Pyramids at #23 with 189 000, up 6%. SBS World News was on 188 000, up 7%.

Analysis
Seven News Saturday was #1 overall last night with 675 000 viewers and wins in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #6 with 357 000. The movie, Avengers: Endgame had 218 000 viewers.
Nine News Saturday was #2 with 594 000 viewers with wins in Sydney and Melbourne. A Current Affair was on 407 000, was #5 and second only to ABC News in the slot. The Magnificent Seven beat The Avengers with 226 000 viewers.
ABC News was #3 with 494 000. Doc Martin is a real star for the ABC landing at #4 with 440 000 viewers. The Capture had 211 000.
For 10, Jamie’s One-Pan Wonders had 141 000 to land at #19 with Blue Bloods right behind at #20 with 133 000. 10 was consistent then with CSI: Vegas on 129 000. The encore of NCIS had 87 000 fans/
