Analysis
Nine News won Melbourne last night and was #2 overall with 602 000 viewers. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 match between Australia and New Zealand was watched by 441 000 viewers.
Seven News was #1 overall with wins in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Border Security: Australia’s Front Line repeat was watched by 339 000 viewers across four markets (no Perth). The movie, The Greatest Showman was watched by 233 000 viewers, but note the low result in Perth of just 5000 viewers. That was because the movie was shown on 7mate as the main channel had the annual Telethon. Con Air was watched by 176 000 viewers but again a low result for the movie in Perth due to Telethon.
ABC News was #3 overall with 476 000 viewers, the repeat of Death in Paradise was on 262 000, whilst The Capture was on 209 000.
10 will need to be patient with the new crime night as viewers understand that the network has switched from factuals (Ambulance UK, etc) to new episodes of crime dramas. Blue Bloods had 122 000 viewers, then CSI: Vegas had 111 000 and an encore of NCIS had 109 000. The ratings were steady across three hours, so 10 would be encouraged by that and hope more people find the new look line-up.
