The Floor Australia
The Floor, the global sensation trivia game, has landed in Australia for a fast-paced battle of brains in which 81 contestants in a giant arena will chase a life-changing prize of $200,000.
Hosted by Rodger Corser (Doctor Doctor, Underbelly), this intense competition begins on Monday, April 28, at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
In The Floor, trivia fanatics from across Australia will put their knowledge to the test in high-stakes, head-to-head duels. Each contestant starts with one tile on the floor of the arena, representing their specialist field of knowledge. Their mission? Win duels, conquer more of the 81 tiles, and claim as much ground as possible.
There can only be one winner: the top trivia buff, who will walk away with $200,000 in cash.
Rodger Corser said: “The Floor is a high-energy mix of strategy and trivia, taken to a whole new level. With 81 contestants and $200,000 at stake, it’s intense, unpredictable, and guaranteed to keep you hooked.
“With an amazing array of contestants of all ages from across the country, and with categories that are just as diverse, it’s the perfect game for the whole family to play along at home. Believe me when I say it’s a nailbiter right to the end.”
From teachers, tradies and nurses to entrepreneurs, artists and everything in between, The Floor will feature a true cross-section of Australia. Among the 81 contenders, a few familiar faces will also step up to the challenge.
One is Jules Robinson, the entrepreneur and Married at First Sight favourite who is ready to swap love for logic and claim her tile. Popular MasterChef contestant and paediatric nurse Amina Elshafei will bring her signature mix of brains and heart – but can she whisk up the winning answers? Or perhaps LEGO Masters fan favourite and professional LEGO artist Kale Frost will build his way to victory.
Since launching in the Netherlands in 2023, The Floor has taken the world by storm, captivating audiences in over 15 countries, including the USA, France, Spain, and Germany.
Now it’s Australia’s turn. With a huge range of categories, The Floor is the ultimate family game night – a show where viewers can test their trivia knowledge and play along from home as contestants battle it out on the dazzling LED floor. It’s non-stop thrills, fierce competition, and edge-of-your-seat entertainment all the way.
With 81 contestants competing for the ultimate prize, only one will rise to the top. Find out when The Floor premieres Monday, April 28, at 7.30 pm AEST on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The Floor is a Talpa Format produced by Eureka Productions for the 9Network.
