The 9Network’s key performance highlights are as follows:

  • The 9Network won the week with all key demos and Total People, recording the following Total TV primetime shares across the 5 City Metro:
    • People 25-54: 44.26%
    • People 16-39: 34.39%
    • Grocery Shopper 18+: 41.61%
    • Total People: 41.43%
  • 9Now was also the No.1 commercial free-to-air (CFTA) BVOD platform, recording the following shares across Australia (measured across the entire day):
    • People 25-54: 56.06%
    • People 16-39: 59.07%
    • Grocery Shopper 18+: 53.46%
    • Total People: 53.52%

Married At First Sight continues to dominate the weekly ratings, with the show taking out the top four spots in all key demographics and Total People. The series has helped the 9Network to record its best ever start to the year with all key demographics and Total People.


Married at First Sight has grown the number of people watching by 3.1% year-on-year to record a Total TV audience of 2.074 million. Meanwhile its BVOD audience on 9Now stands at 714,000 viewers per episode, up an incredible 16.2% on last year. National Cumulative Reach stands at an extraordinary 12.141 million viewers. 

Australia’s new favourite afternoon game show Tipping Point has redefined the 5pm timeslot, growing the audience 47.8% year-on-year for a National Total TV audience of 601,000 and a National Cumulative Reach of 7.022 million.

This on top of the stellar performance from 9News, A Current Affair, 60 Minutes, Today, Big Miracles and Under Investigation.

Married At First Sight continues tonight at 7pm, followed by 60 Minutes with a story on the scandal engulfing the Royal Family.
