The Traitors Australia 2027 casting opens as Channel 10 confirms return

The Traitors Australia 2027 casting opens as Channel 10 confirms return – The Traitors Australia will return to Channel 10 in 2027, and the immediate news is that casting is open now. Network 10 is inviting everyday Australians to apply for a place in Gretel Killeen’s deception game through its public casting site. The announcement does not give an application closing date or a premiere date.

For prospective contestants, this is the practical moment to act rather than simply await another season: the production is seeking ordinary players, not just familiar television faces. Applicants should review the current eligibility and application terms on Channel 10’s casting page before submitting.

A new game of Faithfuls and Traitors

As in the existing format, contestants start together before host Killeen secretly chooses the Traitors. The Faithful must identify and banish players they believe are deceiving them; the Traitors try to survive suspicion while eliminating others. Alliances, accusations and the tense breakfast-room reveals are central to the contest.

Network 10 says the prize pool will offer a share worth up to $250,000. It has not announced the 2027 cast, filming dates, episode count or precise transmission schedule. The broadcaster is promoting the return after a season it says generated discussion around betrayals, banishments and shifting loyalties.

Killeen said the team at Claremont Manor was excited to welcome everyday Australians in 2027, adding a characteristically dark joke about contestants choosing natural-fibre clothing. The show is produced for Network 10 by South Pacific Pictures. The original Dutch format, De Verraders, was created by IDTV with RTL Creative Unit, with Banijay Entertainment handling international distribution.

How to apply

Applications are available at 10.com.au/casting. The public page is the place to check current instructions, conditions and any closing date; do not assume a deadline that has not been announced in the media alert.
