The Americans on SBS 2: Matthew Rhys
Philip and Elizabeth Jennings face growing difficulty protecting both their cover and their family. The appearance of an ordinary household becomes harder to maintain, especially around their son, who remains unaware of the spies in his midst.
Matthew Rhys plays Philip, while Keri Russell plays Elizabeth. Their characters must navigate a period in which political change is creating new risks on both sides of the Cold War.
With Mikhail Gorbachev in power in the Soviet Union, the winds of change are sweeping through Russia and America. Those shifts bring fresh dangers for a couple whose safety depends on keeping their real identities hidden.
Season six, episode one is set in autumn 1987. As a major arms control summit looms, Elizabeth is pushed to her limits as never before.
Meanwhile, Philip has settled into running the newly expanded travel agency. That new routine is unsettled when an unexpected visitor arrives with a disquieting request.
All six seasons are available to stream free on SBS on Demand.
