NITV launches new By Mob For Mob series with NRMA Insurance – National Indigenous Television has launched By Mob For Mob, a new short-form video series about First Nations entrepreneurs and values-led business.
The series is hosted by proud Kamilaroi man Matty Mills. In each episode, Mills speaks with First Nations business owners about strategy, culture, Country and community.
For NITV, the series extends its First Nations storytelling into the business sector. It also gives Australian viewers a practical look at how Indigenous enterprise can create work, opportunity and community outcomes.

Collins added that the businesses featured in the series support families and communities. They are also creating generational opportunities.
Meanwhile, Mills said making the series highlighted the resilience and purpose behind First Nations businesses.
“I hope more mob see what’s possible when you back yourself, build with purpose and ask for help when needed.”
NITV and NRMA Insurance partnership
By Mob For Mob is a commercial partnership between NITV and NRMA Insurance. The insurer has been a major commercial supporter of NITV and First Nations media in Australia.
In 2023, NRMA Insurance began a partnership tied to the Beyond 3% initiative. As part of that work, the insurer committed three per cent of its broadcast media spend to First Nations media.
Since then, the partnership has continued through projects including Weekend Weather Updates. That initiative uses First Nations Place Names and cultural weather seasons.
NITV National Sales Manager Anna Dancey said the new series celebrates the diversity and strength of Blak enterprise across Australia.
NRMA Insurance Indigenous Engagement Manager Darren Hammond said By Mob For Mob was a natural extension of the insurer’s support for First Nations storytelling and the Beyond 3% initiative.
Uncle Michael McLeod, co-founder and chairman of Message Stick Communications and co-founder of Supply Nation, said he wanted to show what Aboriginal-owned businesses can do for communities.
