Recap | Married at First Sight Season 13 Episode 4 – We’re almost done with the first week of MAFS 2026 but don’t you worry, there’s still wedding bliss and honeymoon carnage to come.

Tonight, the experiment’s more mature couple tie the knot, while everyone we’ve met so far gets to know their matches in romantic settings such as hot tubs, vineyards and Townsville.

Stream every episode of Married At First Sight for free on 9Now

Let’s get into it!

The honeymoons

The newlyweds are loved up, or whatever the opposite of that is, in their honeymoon destinations.

Brook and Chris

Brook and Chris are all smiles in the Hunter Valley. Chris even makes it through the morning without throwing an insult!

Later, Chris’ favourite people – the experts! – send them a wedding gift: the honeymoon box.

He finally has to suck it up and admit maybe he was a little harsh on them. Maybe he’s a changed man already!

As they’re prompted to talk about their relationship red flags, Brook says for her, it’s definitely cheating.

Chris lists something just as serious … excessive fake tan.

Look. He can’t completely change overnight! Baby steps!

Gia and Scott

In sunny Townsville, Gia and Scott pash in the pool and it’s not just the water that has Gia reassessing her two-year dry spell.

Fair. (Nine)

Alissa and David

Meanwhile, only half of happy couple Alissa and David can get wet in a Mount Buller hot tub after of David’s knee injury.

But while they can’t get as touchy-feely in the water, the tumble has actually brought them closer together. Emotionally.

Mel and Luke

Coming closer together should be an easy task for these Mel and Luke as they would simply need to stand less than three metres apart to achieve it.

Sadly, not even the world’s most universally beloved food, pizza, can help.

A cooking class leads to a nice meal coupled with, quite frankly, terrible conversation.

“The last couple of times I’ve been there, I actually did get Bali belly,” Luke recounts of his travels.

“That’s why I use Mylanta,” Mel replies.

Rachel and Steven

Rachel’s laugh is still echoing through the Mudgee countryside as she and Steven continue to get on like a house on fire.

That is until Steven asks Rachel about her footy-watching habits and she reacts as if he’s just insulted her entire ancestral line.

EMBARGO 5/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026 Rachel
Abort, Steve, abort! (Nine)

“Do you go ‘ya f—ing d—heads!?'” Steven says, acting out a stereotypically passionate (read: aggressive) fan in the stands.

“No, no, no,” Rachel replies.

“I don’t want you to put that on me because that’s not what I’m like.”

She doesn’t appreciate him “painting her in a negative light” which is surprising to him on account of this all being a joke.

A hurt Rachel cries as she explains it feels more like being put down than “just banter”.

A bewildered Steven is, well, bewildered!

Bec and Danny

Bec and Danny have already taken that next step in Fiji, to disastrous consequences.

They’re questioning their lack of sexual chemistry and it’s got Bec very in her head.

Perhaps a romantic dinner will get things back on track? Or not.

“Did you want to triple take on the girl that you’ve been staring at all day again?” Bec asks.

THAT TOOK A TURN. (Nine)

Danny denies having ever seen the mystery hottie before, although Bec’s made a mental checklist of every time he’s supposedly looked her way.

She leaves the table, telling producers “I’m over it”.

Eventually she returns to eat her steak, and immediately regrets that decision as she’s subjected to Danny’s punishing Men in Black chat.

They agree to move on, until the honeymoon box arrives to ruin the mood. Again.

Bec says his most annoying trait is that he’s on his honeymoon and staring at another woman.

Meanwhile, Danny fires back that hers is that she keeps accusing him of being on his honeymoon and staring at another woman.

Ah, wedded bliss <3 (Nine)

Then comes a question about sexual chemistry and oh boy, that’s just what they need!

Danny says he feels “not too much” and Bec takes 12 deep breaths to try to compose herself before realising it’s pointless.

She was hoping for “magical” and is upset that so far, their marriage is not that.

”… It might be magical with your other girlfriend,” she says.

BEC. NOO.

Danny doesn’t love that joke and wonders if she’s ready for the experiment.

So, Bec leaves. Again.

“I don’t know who you think you are. David Beckham? Do you think you’re David Beckham?” she rants.

I think the Beckhams have enough to worry about right now, Bec!

Rebecca and Steve’s wedding

Things may be a little tumultuous elsewhere, but in Melbourne there’s hope in the air!

Rebecca is a 51-year-old whose recent dating success has all come from the aisles of Bunnings on the weekend.

Now THAT’S good insight! Write that down, ladies!

She’s a recent empty nester and wants to find someone she doesn’t want to live without.

She also hopes he’s got children of his own – so the good news is, this bearded man wandering around a lighting store has four!

His name is Steve and he’s also a Victorian who sets up hospitality businesses, hence the intense staring at sconces.

He is also looking for someone to share life with, particularly if they too like to go to fancy pubs.

Rebecca has a teary start to her wedding day as her dad’s poor health means he cannot be there – but her mum reads out a letter he’s written her.

Um, where was the tissue warning?!

Before Rebecca is walked down the aisle by her son Austin, her guests hear her laughing in the distance while the camera pans to a kookaburra.

Gold star to the editors on that one.

She’s immediately impressed by the “silver fox” waiting for her and after his vows, she feels “safe” as well.

Her vows are emotional but Steve loves that she wears her heart on her sleeve.

The kookaburra laugh returns for their reception and Steve admits “it’s louder than I’m used to”.

Besides some shattered glass, which is not at all related to the sound escaping Rebecca’s mouth, their reception is a success.

Austin sings his mother’s praises to her new husband and after a chat with Steve, he gives him a big tick of approval too.
