Recap | Married at First Sight Season 13 Episode 12 – We were warned that tonight’s MAFS Dinner Party would be a lot and yet, nothing could’ve prepared me for THIS.
You’ll recall that Intimacy Week ended with a shock walkout, as Brook packed her bags, flew home to the Gold Coast and left Chris alone in their apartment.

With a chaotic night ahead, he’s still there and still very much solo.
Word of Brook’s disappearance has spread among the couples, who are wondering what that means for the night ahead.
Will Chris turn up alone? Will Stella finally know peace? Who will Gia team up with next?
OK, strap in. It’s going to be one hell of a ride.
Cocktail Hour
Speaking of a ride, Chris’ car trip is tough. He covers the cameras with gum and tells a producer he is pissed off that Brook’s left him to face this on his own.

Things are no better as he arrives and cannot bring himself to enter the room.
“I just don’t want to be here,” he cries from outside the door.
He retreats to the bathroom where he opens up to a producer.
“I don’t want the pity, I don’t want the comfort, the fact that I’d let her down … I’ve never broken down like this before,” he says.

One bride’s warning ahead of the most explosive night yet.
Meanwhile, the rest of the couples are inside preparing for what’s in store.
Gia is putting Operation Find New Allies in motion, starting with an excited squeal when Bec and Danny arrive.
“Me and Bec, we have a common hatred for the same person here, Alissa for example and Stella as well,” she says.

Nothing says besties like hating the same person for no reason!
They toast to that, but Rachel‘s concerned about the women’s growing divide.
She tells them as much, but Bec and Gia definitely do not take it on board.
Rebecca and Steve arrive separately and she’s upset as she explains the situation to the other brides.
But not as upset as she is when he chooses to speak to everyone besides her after a quick greeting.
He eventually asks if she wants to chat and it doesn’t go down well at all.
Neither Brook nor Chris is here when the waiter announces it’s dinner time. Will it stay that way?
Dinner Party
There’s an empty seat where Chris should be sitting and everyone’s disappointed as they wanted to show him support.
OK fine, they mostly wanted the tea.
Eventually, he walks in but before he has a chance to spill any details…
Oh no.
“Surprise, bitches,” Brook says, entering a very shocked room.
Chris has no idea whether she’s back to make things right with him or not, until just seconds later when it’s very clear the answer is “or not”.
“I’m not going to let my bitches fight some bitches by themselves,” she declares.
She wastes no time, attacking Stella for giving advice to Steve “after her two-week relationship”.
She goes at Stella for their disagreement at the last Commitment Ceremony, but Stella isn’t taking any bait.
Instead, she just silently stares at Brook as she talks and talks and talks. It’s actually kind of incredible.
“I don’t think you’re deep, I just think you’re f—ing dumb,” Brook says.

The rest of the table watches on in disbelief.
“You’re very abrasive, what you’ve done all night is barking on other women,” Stella tells her.
“Barking, babe? That’s lovely, why don’t you get back in your kennel?” Gia jumps in.
Holy hell. What is happening?
Stella leaves the table – but the other women are not done.
“Get the stripper boots off babe!” Brook yells after her. “If you’re going to wear stripper boots, buy 100 per cent lamb, don’t buy faux leather.”
Alissa calls out the nasty behaviour, but all it does is turn Brook’s attention on her.
”Shut up Alissa, you ratchet idiot,” she yells.
It’s at this point John Aiken points out the exact thing we’re all thinking: “It’s ironic that she didn’t like what Chris had to say in the audition video…”

Suddenly, Brook, Gia and Bec are all yelling at Alissa. But it’s not just that, they’re mocking her voice as well.
Grayson, bless his soul, attempts to cool things down.
It doesn’t work.
Instead, Gia and Bec cackle while Brook says “loser!” by throwing up that “L” hand sign none of us have done since primary school.
EPISODE 11 RECAP: Two brides move out and another flies home
Brook once again claims Alissa and David’s relationship is fake, sarcastically saying she hopes Alissa’s parents are proud watching this.
To quote the experts from earlier: “pot, kettle, black”.
Alissa is done with the “bullying” and requests to be left alone, which again, doesn’t work.
Meanwhile, Chris has not been having a good time either.
It’s already very clear he’s not a factor in Brook’s return, but to rub it in some more she starts to joke about being a “runaway bride”.
“I’m not stupid, I like Brook more than she likes me,” he says.
“I feel like an idiot.”
As a brief moment of peace passes, Brook screams Alissa’s name down the table no less than six times because incredibly, she hasn’t lost her voice yet.
Danny is getting real tired of it and he tells her as much.
Whoops. Bad idea.

Brook claims to have information that could ruin “Temu Conor McGregor”, but she doesn’t want to bring it up … except by, you know, ambiguously bringing it up!
Turns out it’s Gia’s information to share and after some pushing from Bec, Gia says Danny told her she’s his “type”.
Brook backs Gia’s story and it’s Bec’s biggest insecurity realised – but Danny denies it.
Things get fiery until Bec slams the table.
“You’re not coming for my husband!” she screams, before leaving the room.
She’s embarrassed by the way that information was thrown out in front of the group and surmises that Gia and Brook wanted to rock her relationship.
If that’s the case, they’ve been successful!
Danny’s offended that she believes it and Bec’s astounded by the lack of empathy for her feelings – so she storms out, bringing what may just be the most jaw-dropping night in MAFS history to a sombre end.
Oof. I need a lay down after that.
Bring on Sunday, you can bet the experts will have A LOT to say about what we’ve just seen.
