Recap | Married at First Sight Season 13 Episode 8 – How are we liking MAFS‘ fancy new Revelations Week?

The experiment’s fresh tasks have certainly made a splash, with stalking stories and audition tape bombshells giving us plenty to talk about … but that’s only the beginning.

MAFS: After The Dinner Party starts Wednesday February 18 only on Stan.

Red flags? Green flags? Hell yeah, we’re going there!

We ended with Scott not knowing Gia‘s daughter’s name.

His claim that he is totally OK with dating someone with a child is pretty convincing, besides that extremely important detail.

Elsewhere, there’s happier news!

Alissa has “jumped” David, with great success. They are very happy.

Wait! So are Bec and Danny! It’s a Revelations Week miracle!

Not that Danny, who promised Bec’s dad he’d be respectful, will tell us about it. Bec made no such promises though.

“Needed that orgasm, couple of orgasms actually,” she says.

EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Danny denies Gia’s bold claim he was looking at her during the first Dinner Party

There are far, far less hot and heavy hormones flying in Mel and Luke‘s apartment.

Because 1. Mel is there alone, 2. Mel does not like Luke, and 3. Luke’s sisters have apparently been leaving comments about her “mad resting b—- face” online.

When he returns from a night away, she confronts him, saying he’s “made her life hell” for the past week.

Wait. What?

”I already had so much anxiety about coming back here because the way you’ve treated me this whole experiment has been horrible,” Luke responds.

Mel says it’s not fair for Luke to “constantly play the victim”.

So now they’re back to normal … meaning they’re sitting awkwardly in silence.

It’s time for the week’s final task – which means splitting up the brides and grooms for a fun little game: Red Flag, Green Flag.

One by one, the brides and grooms will get up in front of each other and share their partners’ green flags, but most importantly, their red flags.

As Bec talks through Danny’s flags and how she feels she’s letting her insecurities take over, by worrying he thinks he’s better looking than her, Gia has thoughts.

Shocking.

“He does give that vibe a bit,” she says.

Incredible side-eye. Incredible. (Nine)

The other women assure her that isn’t the case … and Gia disagrees. Obviously.

She’s next up, which gives Bec a chance to retaliate.

While Gia lists about 20 green flags for Scott, she admits his audition tape and forgetting her daughter’s name are a little red.

“Is he an airhead?” Bec asks.

That’s barely a two on the scale of terrible things Bec and Gia have called each other so far, but it sets Gia off.

“She’s a bit of an airhead to be f—ing honest,” she reacts.

Gia plans to confront Bec but first, let’s get through Rebecca and Steve’s red flags, shall we? They’re going well, so this should be a breeze…

Oh.

”Green flags, there’s multiple,” Steve starts. “Now red flags…”

Tag yourself. I’m Filip! (Nine)

He delivers a sermon on Rebecca’s many, many flashing red flags and everyone has whiplash.

Upstairs, the women are less shocked to learn Brook thinks Chris has a few reds.

She explains his audition video and unsurprisingly, they’re not happy.

“Get in the bin,” they reckon.

While everyone’s supportive of Brook, as the rest of the group step up to share it becomes clear that is not always mutual.

As Stella gushes over Filip, Brook interrupts her with a question that probably could’ve waited. Maybe.

“Are you wearing a Chanel watch?” she wonders.

As Stella struggles to name a red flag, Brook “calls bullshit” and suddenly, she is everywhere, saying everything.

Alissa then dares to attempt to speak.

“Do we want to be here all day, because Alissa will finish then,” Brook reacts.

Red flag? (Nine)

The chaos continues during Alissa’s turn.

She lists David’s green flags, as Brook and Gia yell out to ask about their sex life. She even considers a red flag – that he called her a drama queen – a green flag because it’s the kind of pushback she needs.

“But have you had sex yet?” Gia interrupts. Again.

“YES, WE’VE HAD SEX,” Alissa yells back.

Brook then straight up calls Alissa and David a “fake showmance”.

RIGHT TO HER FACE???????? (Nine)

”100 per cent agree,” Gia jumps in.

Everyone else is horrified but it doesn’t stop Brook from claiming Alissa is “faking it, she’s theatrical”.

Errrrrrr… (Nine)

Back downstairs, Luke is the last man to step up to the plate and bless him, because despite their terrible time so far he lists a couple of green flags for Mel.

He struggles through the red flags, which amount to him trying, trying and trying some more and getting absolutely nothing in return.

It’s Danny to the rescue, as he puts a smile back on Luke’s face by revealing a big ol’ man crush on the experiment’s handsome farmer.

EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Bec reveals real reason behind feud with Gia – and reacts to husband Danny’s brutal on-screen ‘rating’

On the flipside, Mel cannot share any green flags at all about Luke. Red, though? Oh there’s plenty.

“Because I don’t have feelings for him he’s made my life a living hell,” she tells the women. “He’s trying to be malicious to me every chance he gets.”

MAFS 2026 Bec
He what now? (Nine)

Hot take! Speaking of…

“I think he’s not here for the right reasons,” Brook declares.

Mel says that if Luke could have a voodoo doll of her, he would and where is Danny to defend his man when you need him?

She continues to list off the red flags and it becomes clear that some of the group are suspicious.

MAFS 2026 stella
Very suspicious. (Nine)

As Alissa tries to dig a little deeper, Gia says it seems like she’s on the man’s side but “we’re girl’s girls”.

Stella disagrees with the premise and admits she wants to hear both sides of the story before she automatically turns against Luke.

Mel does not like that.

The self-described girl’s girls don’t either, with Brook and Gia labelling Stella’s behaviour “really gross”.

“We get it you don’t have friends, we get it girls don’t like you, you don’t have to scream it – it’s very obvious,” Gia says.

I’m starting to wonder about the validity of this “girl’s girl” term…

MAFS 2026 Brook and Mel
WHAT IS GOING ON? HOW DID WE GET HERE? (Nine)

Bec and Julia back up Stella, who tries to keep the peace with an apology to Mel, but Stella admits she felt pretty attacked in the moment.

As the women leave, Brook shares her new philosophy – although I think we’d all caught on to it already.

“I don’t care anymore … I just see so much fakeness going around and I’m over it and now, I feel like I’m on fire,” she says with a slightly terrifying smile.

EXCLUSIVE: The MAFS 2026 stars spill their most shocking dating stories

MAFS 2026 Brook
I’m scared. (Nine)

Remember that warning David delivered about the meaning of Revelations? In hindsight, he had a point.

On Sunday, the couples sit down on the Commitment Ceremony couch for the first time and I foresee plenty of John Aiken‘s judgey face in our future.

Who will stay? Will anyone leave? Can the women please define the term “girl’s girl”?

So many questions, tune in on Sunday to find out the answers!
