My Way on Channel 9 at the Blue Mountains – My Way shines a spotlight on the best of the Blue Mountains and meets the locals transforming their community with passion and purpose, this Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Andrea Comastri, co-founder of Hotel Etico, is on a mission to create a welcoming, inclusive space for people of all abilities. Inspired by an Italian social enterprise, Hotel Etico, nestled in Mount Victoria, provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities, giving them the tools to develop both hospitality and life skills. More than just a hotel, it’s a place where independence, confidence and community grow, changing lives one stay at a time.

Chef Colin Barker delivers a true paddock-to-plate experience at Megalong Restaurant @ Lot 101. Colin’s career took him from Sydney’s fine dining to the remote points of northern Australia, but he now focuses on crafting seasonal dishes with ingredients that come directly from the land or neighbouring farms.

From fresh game to native flora, every meal at Lot 101 reflects Colin’s deep appreciation for the natural world, as he works to build a legacy for his family and community through food.

Guided by the wisdom passed down through generations, Gundungurra Elder Uncle David King invites visitors to experience the Blue Mountains as never before. Through the 19km Grand Cliff Top Walk, he intertwines breathtaking landscapes with the rich cultural heritage of the Gundungurra people. His storytelling fosters a deeper understanding of the land, of healing and connection for all who walk these ancient paths.

For Caroline Boulom and Dimitri Douchin, the night sky is not just a beautiful backdrop, it’s also a way of life. The co-founders of Blue Mountains Stargazing Tours blend scientific knowledge with cultural insights, so their stargazing experiences go well beyond the telescope. Dimitri, a PhD in astronomy, shares the cosmic wonders, while Caroline ensures each starlit session is seamlessly orchestrated. Together, they invite visitors to slow down, look up and connect with the universe.

See how these inspiring locals are making their mark on the Blue Mountains, this Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
