Zog sleepwalking sends the young dragon through the forest in a muddle on ABC Kids tonight, leaving Pearl and Gadabout the Great with an important job: help their friend before the chaos grows.
The episode begins with a familiar problem for the flying doctors. Zog is asleep but on the move, and his unexpected journey brings disruption to the forest. Pearl and Gadabout must put their own disagreements aside as they work out how to reach him and steer the adventure back on course.
That gives the story its gentle stakes. The characters are not facing a villain or a grand quest; instead, they need patience, teamwork and a little understanding when a friend needs help. Pearl and Gadabout each bring a different perspective, but neither can solve the problem alone.
For younger viewers, the episode keeps the action clear and reassuring while giving its central trio another chance to show why their friendship matters. The flying doctors may be used to helping others, but this time their most important patient is one of their own.
Zog is adapted from the picture-book world created by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The ABC Kids screening continues the character’s animated adventures, with the forest setting providing a bright, playful backdrop for a story about looking after friends.
Zog airs Saturday 19 September at 6.25pm on ABC Kids and ABC iview.
