Tonight | Dustfall on ABC: Anna Torv investigates a disturbing cane-field case – Anna Torv plays Detective Antigone “Tig” Pollard. She returns to Queensland hoping for quiet, but a disturbing case interrupts her plans. It airs Sunday 11 October 2026 at 8.20pm on ABC and ABC iview.
The six-part crime drama puts Tig’s attempt to recover from professional burnout against a new investigation in the town where she grew up.
Episode 1 of 6
After her grandmother dies, Tig returns to North Gap, a small Queensland hinterland town. She still carries the strain of an unsuccessful high-profile rape case and hopes for peace in the old family home.
Police find a teenage girl naked in a cane field with no memory of how she got there. Tig then investigates the sexual assault, returning to the kind of work she had hoped to leave behind.
However, the case darkens when a key suspect turns up dead. The premiere sets up both the immediate investigation and the pressure on a detective who has only recently come home.
