Tonight | Celebrity Escape on ABC Entertains: seven comedians take on a witch’s cabin – Celebrity Escape locks seven comedians in a witch-themed escape room tonight. Against all logic, they get out. The first episode airs at 9pm on ABC Entertains and ABC iview.
The six-part series mixes escape-room puzzles with a strategic twist. Once the room is solved, one player is voted out and sent upstairs to comment on the mess.
Rove McManus is the gamesmaster. The series first screened in New Zealand on Three earlier this year.
Inside the Witch’s Cabin
The comedians enter a mysterious Witch’s Cabin, determined to prove they are clever. Within minutes, they prove they are just loud.
Candles are lit and bones are rearranged. Spell books are misread with confidence. Meanwhile, theories multiply, nobody agrees and everyone explains.
Unexpected leadership emerges, while quieter intelligence tries to surface. One contestant becomes emotionally overwhelmed by the pace of the nonsense.
Celebrity Escape turns to strategy
Against the odds, and almost by accident, the group escapes in time. Then the game pivots.
Collaboration gives way to strategy, because the comedians must vote out one of their own. The first elimination is awkward, funny and just a little brutal.
In the end, Frank Woodley becomes the first to leave. They escaped the cabin, but they did not escape the consequences.
With six comedians left, the game rolls on. Each week, it tests both puzzle-solving skills and the alliances that form along the way.
Don’t miss Celebrity Escape, Thursday 5 November at 9pm on ABC Entertains and streaming on ABC iview.
