Tonight | Beyond Paradise on ABC: Martha becomes a regatta suspect – A regatta turns dangerous when sailor Polly collapses into the sea, and Martha becomes an unlikely suspect in a suspected spiking. Humphrey must investigate while trying to remain objective about someone close to him. It airs Saturday 24 October 2026 at 7:30pm on ABC, with streaming on ABC iview.
The case arrives with a deadline: a rematch is approaching, and Polly believes a threat she received before the race was real. The personal connection to Martha adds another complication to Humphrey’s search for the truth.
A race ends in a rescue
On the final day of the regatta, rivals Francine and Polly are close in the contest for the top spot. Just as racing gets underway, Polly collapses and falls into the water. Francine rescues her and brings her back to shore. Polly tells Humphrey that she thinks someone is trying to kill her.
A warning before the rematch
Polly produces a threatening note delivered just before the race, warning her not to take part. With another race nearing, Humphrey has limited time to find who sent it and determine what happened on the water. Martha’s emergence as a suspect tests his ability to keep personal loyalty separate from the investigation, even as the danger to Polly may not be over.
