In episode three of six, Kacey comes around to meet the prophets. However, the visit does not go as expected. What she sees leaves her shaken and adds another strange turn to Michael’s already unusual world.
Michael is also dealing with a practical problem. His car is out of action, which means he has to walk to work. Along the way, he witnesses a crime. As a result, his day becomes complicated before he even arrives.
The pressure continues at work when something upsets Kacey. Michael and Kacey then escape to Pickles cafe for a quieter moment. There, Kacey opens up and confesses her deepest secret. The scene brings a more personal layer to the episode, while still keeping the show’s offbeat tone.
Meanwhile, Brian has had a visitor at the care home. The problem is, he cannot remember who it was. Elsewhere, Clive becomes fixated on chaffinches and a puddle of oil that sometimes seems to look like a rabbit.
Those odd details give tonight’s episode its unusual comic rhythm. Yet the bigger moment comes when Kacey visits Marvin Gardens to see the prophets. Once again, she is shocked by what she is shown.
With secrets, strange visions and a crime on the way to work, Small Prophets delivers another quirky and unpredictable chapter tonight.
