In the Season 24 premiere, Sarah returns to her roots with a dream to create a radical home and creative hub in one striking build.
However, this is not a simple renovation. With a budget of £330,000, Sarah plans to use hempcrete, a super sustainable material that remains relatively unknown in the construction world.
At first, the vision is clear. Sarah wants a space that reflects her life as an artist, while also giving her room to live and create. But just a few months into the eight-month schedule, the pressure begins to build.
Her inexperience as a project manager starts to show. Meanwhile, material costs continue to rise, and the budget begins to stretch beyond control.
As a result, Sarah may have to make a difficult decision. Selling her one-bedroom holiday cottage could become the only way to keep the project moving.
Then, as the critical hemp process begins, the build becomes even more unpredictable. The success of Sarah’s dream home hangs in the balance.
